As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

A MASK CAN’T HIDE YOU
Is life just a moment when we pass through time – when our hopes and dreams lead to amazing adventures or fall by the wayside and get trampled deep into the ground? Are we placed here for a purpose, … Continue reading
THE HOUSE IN THE WOODS
Art by Paul Boecher© It was nothing more than the skeletal remains of a deserted old building. The facade bore scars on its sun bleached boards. It had become pock marked by the bullets of hail. Remnants of a … Continue reading
SNOW WHITE
I never thought of white as my favorite color. All shades of blue and green and some shades of red or brilliant yellow are more my choice. White is the color of milk and those fluffy cumulus clouds that float … Continue reading
Minnesota White
The sky blankets us with a grey mask of clouds. The thermostat may not reach 20 today. Crystal shards line the street where a plow left its remains. The hardened, pressed snow crunches beneath your feet and your shoes collect … Continue reading
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
There are moments when my confidence wanes – when fear gets in the way of the things that need to be said or done – when trepidation steps on my backbone – when My tongue gets tied into knots and words … Continue reading
End of Autumn
The once brilliant crimson and gilded leaves have all fallen. Only a few persistent “hanger-onners” cling to empty branches. The ominous grey clouds fill with crystals of ice and in no time the desolation will be covered with a blanket … Continue reading
words
At first I took a pencil in my hand and etched words onto a lined tablet. Penmanship was still alive and cursive script soon covered linen pages. As time passed by, my fingers learned to fly across a manual typewriter. … Continue reading
Love Incomprehensible
I’ll never grow to comprehend the power of your love. You hold me fast. You treasure me. You guide me from above. There is no other love like yours. You fill my every need. You comfort and protect me. For … Continue reading
Weeds
A tangled snare begins quite small, but quickly grows either into a thing of beauty or takes advantage of other living things to sustain itself. Beneath the surface it worms it’s way through the fertile soil and takes hold of … Continue reading
Living Water
Yesterday the clouds were heavy with rain – the air grew oppressive under the weight of high dew point levels. Within minutes the ominous clouds emptied in sheets of torrential rain upon the earth. Within seconds the air lightened. The … Continue reading
The Sentries in our Back Yard.
Two ancient maple trees stand as sentinels on either side of our back yard. During winter their skeletal branches reach up to heaven. They look as though they’re entreating the God of creation to cover their nakedness with a blanket of protection … Continue reading
My prayer for your coming week.
Life can be but a mere whisper or it can be a consuming fire. The way we approach it will define who we are and where we’re going. If we go through life without any focus, If we don’t set … Continue reading
Where Did Spring Go?
Heavy droplets tumble to the ground in random spurts, They settle on receptive soil, thirsting for refreshment. Only a few weeks ago water seeped up from the earth And down from saturated clouds, Pushing new life forth in abundance. The … Continue reading
The Great Physician

Words of Wisdom from Grandma to Grandson
You think that it’s all over. You’ve only just begun. Your accomplishments prove your value. Your faith has kept you strong. You’ve pondered o’er the last few years, where life will take you next. Your dreams will follow a different … Continue reading
ODE TO TEETH
We come into this world without them. It takes a few years before they appear. They get pushed and nudged out by new ones. A few become unrecognizable and begin to disintegrate into oblivion. As time goes on they disappear into nonexistence. … Continue reading
