As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DEATH OF A NATION
Over the weekend, we went to see the newest film by Denesh D’Souza about the death of a nation. It was an interesting film regarding the involvement of the Democrat Party in slavery, racism towards all races other than white, creating … Continue reading
ONE BAD POLITICIAN
When we look at our politicians today, what do we see? We’re pounded with stories of indiscretion, sexual harassment, corruption, undignified behavior and evil occurring all over the place. We’ve the ‘benefit’ of receiving all this juicy gossip daily – even … Continue reading
CAMELOT
“Like the Arthurian years at Camelot, the Sixties constituted a breakthrough, a fleeting moment of glory, a time when a significant little chunk of humanity briefly realised its moral potential and flirted with its neurological destiny, a collective spiritual awakening … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY RAMBLINGS
I, like many, had my doubts when I went to vote last November. I wasn’t convinced in my heart of hearts that my decision to vote for Donald Trump was the sagest idea I ever had. He was brash, earthy, condescending … Continue reading
IT IS WHAT IT IS
The first time I heard this phrase, it made me wonder why. Why do we need to accept everything as it is? Why have we become so tolerant to all kinds of behavior, that we simply must accept that it … Continue reading
WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
In my years of living, I’ve not seen so much change as I have within the last 20 years. Could it be that we’ve been duped? Americans used to have a dream of a better life, a strong work ethic, … Continue reading
DISTRACTIONS

“Technology teaches passivity. Absorbed in our devices – at any age – we are absorbed in someone else’s perspective.” Julia Cameron Hiding our heads in the sand when the world is out of control is not the answer. I’ve been trying … Continue reading
ARE OUR LIVES BORING?
“You created a sensation about nothing. You people are so creative over there. Your lives must be boring.” Vladimir Putin Have we become a nation of creative bores? America has always been seen as innovative, entrepreneurial, forward thinking, but boring? … Continue reading
WHEN WORDS GET IN THE WAY
“The third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. The second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. The first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.” A. A. Milne It … Continue reading
JUST A THOUGHT
First paragraphs from the Washington Post article, by Aaron Blake – February 16, 2017 “President Trump is facing multiple potential investigations, dealing with an administration that leaks like a sieve and still wrestling with heavy policy decisions on the Affordable Care Act, … Continue reading

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain I live in one of those predominantly activist type towns. I’m not proud of … Continue reading
THE TIMES, THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’
It may have begun somewhere in the 1970’s. We were winding down a seemingly endless war in Viet Nam. Women fought for equal rights. Segregation was still an issue. We had a national scandal and saw a president impeached. The comedians of … Continue reading
WOMEN ON PARADE
“Don’t shut yourself up in a bandbox because you are a woman, but understand what is going on, and educate yourself to take your part in the world’s work, for it all affects you and yours.” ~Louisa May Alcott I’m … Continue reading

THE END!
OK it wasn’t the best movie ever, but the title was catchy. The funniest part about “The End,” was when Burt Reynolds tried to make a deal with God – promising to give Him a certain percentage of his income … Continue reading
TIME FOR REFORMATION
In a way we’re faced with a similar dilemma to what Martin Luther encountered almost 500 years ago before the reformation of the church. He was troubled by the conflicting teachings, the false doctrine, the malpractice and the inability for … Continue reading
SMUG
Smug – Exhibiting or feeling great or offensive satisfaction with oneself or with one’s situation; self-righteously complacent. I debated whether I should write about the debates. Guess who won? Unfortunately I can’t say the same for last night’s political debate. … Continue reading

KATHY RANT
There are times when Maxine has wisdom beyond her years. Good heavens, did I really say that? I must be about the same age so I guess I’m allowed to express my opinion occasionally. Lately I’ve found myself sitting down … Continue reading
