As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

LIKE TEARS FALLING . . .
There seems to be a lot to cry about these days. The world is filled with an abundance of tears. We cry because we’re troubled, anxious, physically in pain or emotionally suffering. Tears can be a blessed relief when we’re … Continue reading
OUR WEEK IN REVIEW – WORKING THROUGH ANOTHER CHALLENGE
We grew up together. We explored life together. We raised a family. We loved each other. We grew up some more. We got lost in each other’s arms. We made mistakes. We danced and held hands. We supported each other’s … Continue reading
PEARLS OF TRUTH
There’s really nothing funny about getting older. The fact that you have become your mother isn’t really all that bad. You loved your mother, right? I know I did. She came to live in our home when she was my … Continue reading

AN INCREDIBLE WEEK
It was the most incredible week. The city of Jerusalem was filled to capacity and beyond. People had come from all over the country to celebrate the Passover. Jesus entered the city gates on the back of a donkey to … Continue reading
STORMS A COMIN’
Standing alone in a storm as wind tears through the trees is not only frightening but lacks wisdom. Our bodies grow tense, the adrenaline flows, and all our emotions can explode into crushing fear. The sea rages as waves crash against each other. … Continue reading
IS THERE SUCH A THING AS GOOD GRIEF?
We know that grief is a very common emotion among us humans, yet when we’re experiencing it, there is nothing anyone can say or do to keep the tears from falling – the heart from longing – the mind from … Continue reading
HIGHLIGHT OF MY WEEK
OK this cartoon has nothing to do with the highlight, but I thought it was cute. This week has actually been pretty quiet for me and because we’re changing seasons quickly here in Lake Woebegone, I thought I’d start organizing closets for … Continue reading
THE INNER VOICES
All you want is relief, but pain is usually just a signal that something needs attention. If your muscles are sore, you rest. If your energy level is low, you eat better. If your heart is aching over a lost love … Continue reading
SAYING GOODBYE
Yesterday was a day of bringing up old memories, wounds, dirt and cobwebs. We finally began to tackle the plethora of boxes within our garage. These cartons and crates were tucked away when we moved last fall, to be gone … Continue reading
WHAT DRAWS US TO TRAGEDY?
In 2011, the REELZ channel received four Emmy Awards for the mini-series, “The Kennedys.” They are now following up with a two part showing of “The Kennedys After Camelot.” I was a young woman at the time of the Kennedy presidency and … Continue reading
PAIN CAN BE GOOD
Anyone who experiences chronic pain will look at my title today and say, “Are you kidding me?” All you want is relief, but pain is usually just a signal that something needs attention. If your muscles are sore, you rest. … Continue reading
DOES BEING A CHRISTIAN GUARANTEE A PERFECT LIFE?
I have moments when I get depressed and anxious. At times I ask God, why are certain things happening to me? Why are there still problems, sickness, confusion, fears? Why do I try to measure up to someone else – why must we … Continue reading
THERE IS PEACE IN SUFFERING
We are entering tornado season in the Midwest and many lives have been completely changed in just a few moments. In other parts of the country, people are facing mudslides and quickly spreading wildfires. Our world has experienced tragedy beyond … Continue reading
