As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ONE OF A KIND
One thing I’ve learned since I semi-retired a few years ago, is that I wasted a whole lot of time worrying about the small stuff. When you’re in the process of beginning adulthood and being responsible for others, you sometimes … Continue reading

THOU SHALT NOT KILL
THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT You shall not kill. When I learned this commandment at an young age I thought – here’s one I can keep. A lot of folks think that way. The average Joe doesn’t go around slaying people. What … Continue reading
GIVING IN TO CLOSED CAPTIONING
I am slowly losing my hearing. With the high cost of hearing aids, I’ve been struggling along. This disability can be a disadvantage to a happy marriage. Having the television turned up so high forces the other partner into another room. … Continue reading
LOONEY TOONS
I remember Saturday mornings being a time of watching cartoons. Occasionally, when there’s nothing on TV, I’ll tune in the Cartoon Network. In fact, on my wedding day, I spent the morning watching cartoons. Maybe it was like saying … Continue reading
WEAR SOMEONE ELSE’S SHOES
The image I selected for this post is somewhat tongue in cheek. I really believe that walking in another person’s shoes will enlighten you. It will show you that you can do something you didn’t think you could do and … Continue reading
WHAT WILL I BE WHEN I GROW UP?
First of all, I am 76 years old and I admit that growing up isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. I believe the whole process is overrated. When we’re five we can’t wait to be ten. When we’re ten we … Continue reading
