As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WHEN THE WALLS COME TUMBLING DOWN
With all that’s going on in our world right now, I had hoped to write a post with encouraging words about how God has this all in the palm of His hand and we’re going to get through it. Those … Continue reading
WHAT IF YOU CAN’T WAIT?
In a world that’s filled with instant mashed potatoes, instant rice, instant news, instant results and instant madness its hard to wait. In the famous infomercials where they tell you, “But wait, there’s more,” it’s usually followed by a buy … Continue reading
THY WILL, NOT MINE . . .
We’ve all experienced disappointments. The plans we make don’t always come to fruition. We may have waited a long time for our goals to be met – only to have something get in the way reaching them or by being … Continue reading
IT’S OUR CHOICE
I woke up with a positive attitude this morning. The sun was streaming through the windows and beckoned me to wake early. I felt reasonably good in spite of a few aches and pains, but I’ve learned to accept the … Continue reading
AN ACT OF RANDOM KINDNESS – ARK
The movie, “Evan, Almighty,” featuring Morgan Freeman as God had one line that stuck with me. At the end, Evan who is a modern day Noah, learns the valuable lesson that what it takes to change the world is an … Continue reading
TIME TO FLY
When you reach a certain point in life, you wonder how many things you might cross off the old bucket list. I’ve never thought too much about a bucket list. I’m happy to see the dawning of a new day … Continue reading
CONTAINED
When we lived in the city, there were countless container cars, sitting idly in the rail yards. In fact, when not in use, they’d be stacked in piles of four or more, to await being pulled into use again. It was kind … Continue reading
FROM ADAM’S RIB
I love the Bible verses that refer to the creation of the first woman. God put Adam to sleep and removed one of his ribs to shape the woman who would be Adam’s wife and helpmate. She would be equal … Continue reading
WHAT WAS I LOOKING FOR?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to put on a pair of shoes like this? Especially when you get to be my age. In a couple years I’ll be 80. I never thought I’d make it this long, but here I am. … Continue reading
HEAVEN IS MY HOME
For most of us the year 2020 should be eliminated from the historical calendar. What should’ve been another year of prosperity and growth has been tampered with by science, the political realm, the local scene, violence, anger, hatred and all … Continue reading
QUESTIONING AND CONSPIRACY THEORIES
How long has this been going on? I feel like it’s been years, but the first case of reported COVID19 occurred sometime in January. Immediately the pandemic turned into panic. Since that time, states have been going into lockdown and … Continue reading
POLITICS – IN JESUS’ TIME
Herod, the Great and Herod Antipas ruled during Jesus’ lifetime. Jesus assured us that His kingdom is not of this world. His kingdom would last for eternity. Mary was familiar with the name of Herod. Herod, the Great ruled during … Continue reading
MIRACULOUS HEALING
Most mothers have this built in desire that their children will be successful – that they will have friends and those they can counsel with – that their lives will be filled with joy and hope and that they never … Continue reading
AGING WITH A PLAN – PART III – 80-90
A commercial came out recently showing people in their 70s and 80s still in the workplace. There’s the fireman who weighs about 80 pounds, trying to handle a gigantic fire hose. We see an elder woman as a DJ while another entertains as … Continue reading
AGING WITH A PLAN
Last year about this time I did a series on aging. Since I’m not getting any younger, I thought it might be time to repost for those who haven’t read my advice or have forgotten what I wrote. Actually I … Continue reading
A HUMAN VESSEL
She was just a simple girl – nothing special – not without sin – like us, yet God chose her to be the vessel which would carry the Son of God for nine months in her womb and hold His … Continue reading
DISCIPLINE
As a child, my instrument of choice was the piano. There happened to be one left in our apartment when we moved in. I was probably no more than six, but the idea of playing the piano occupied my dreams … Continue reading
ONCE OLD, NEW AGAIN
ART & INSPIRATION FROM PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© Even though this weekend promises to be one of the hottest in June, my artist husband, who does much of his art outdoors, will be painting at an artisans market at a renovated farmstead, several … Continue reading
LOOK BEYOND THE MASK
Churchill realized that both success and failure are not important. It’s how we deal with those things with courage. So often, we don’t know what’s going on in someone’s mind. I strongly believe part of the problem is the isolation … Continue reading
A NOT SO GREAT SHOWMAN
Having come from a long line of sociopaths, Herod Antipas relished in the shock and awe of his domain. The more outlandish the behavior, the better. Like his father, Herod, the Great, he was much a chip off the old … Continue reading
