As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DEJA VUE ALL OVER AGAIN
I don’t know about the rest of you, but Ground Hog Day has become the norm for the past year. You wake up, same time every day, go to the bathroom mirror and see the same face, brush the same … Continue reading
SCREAMS IN THE NIGHT
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have used my time in isolation to watch old movies – mostly of a mysterious nature. I’ve kind of run out of the usual like, “The Maltese Falcon,” “Casablanca,” “North by Northwest,” “The … Continue reading
TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. .
“Yesterday was plain awful.” as Little Orphan Annie once said. It sometimes feels that way, but some days really are worse than others. We wake up with positive thoughts, which are suddenly cut short by bad news. We go through … Continue reading
LETTING GO
POETRY BY KATHY BOECHER The moments have turned into days, the days turn into years. We’ve watched you grow. We’ve seen success and now there come the tears.I know I should be happy for all that lies ahead.A family together – … Continue reading
SATURDAY SILLINESS
A little COVID19 song I wrote for your enjoyment and maybe a chuckle or two. To the tune of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” I’ll be home forever. You can count on that. There will be snow while candles glow … Continue reading
WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES . . .
Well it’s almost over – 2020 that is. We’re almost elated at the thought of saying goodbye to this year. It was like none other than most of us have experienced in our lifetime – filled with anxiety, fear, depression, … Continue reading
THE WINTER OF OUR DISCONTENT
Shakespeare said it first. Steinbeck followed with a book with the title. I kind of like the quote above, because it describes me. When I’ve gone through a time of trial, the best thing for me is to forget about … Continue reading
A LITTLE COTTAGE IN THE WOODS
This is a rerun of a post done in February of this year. It was just the beginning of the news of Covid 19. We had no idea what we were in for. A little cottage in the woods, An … Continue reading
BAH, HUMBUG
I can sympathize with this poor cat. Especially this year. We go through all the motions of dressing our houses with lights and decorations. We shop (this year online) until we drop. We plan limited gatherings with no more than … Continue reading
HE IS THE SOURCE
These dark days of winter swell into an endless swirl of emotions, We can’t seem to pull ourselves out of sadness, depression or anxiety, There is only one way to eliminate those destructive feelings, But how do you harness the … Continue reading
“AND THIS SHALL BE A SIGN UNTO YOU”
This has been quite a year – one most of us would happily like to see drift into oblivion. From the very beginning of 2020 our lives have been changed, turned upside down, depressed, confused, challenged and discouraged. Little lights … Continue reading
WALKING IN THE LIGHT
The above painting is not one of Paul’s. I found it on the Internet, but it beautifully expresses how Jesus invites us to walk with Him in the light. He is the light of the world. There is no way … Continue reading
OUR CHRISTMAS CARD TO YOU
A light dusting of powdered sugar snow glistens in the light coming from an old country church. The streets are empty now after the hustle and bustle within this tiny town. On this holy of holiest nights, people find their way into … Continue reading
GOING HOME
We have all experienced one of the most interesting, challenging, life changing years in our history. Not only have we been cut off from our families and friends, we’ve been asked to honor this holiday season by being kind to … Continue reading
I MISS THE FELLOWSHIP
“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.” 2 Corinthians 13:11 It’s Sunday. We will again tune into our church’s electronic service and worship our God. … Continue reading
INTERNATIONAL NINJA DAY
I always thought it would be cool to be a Ninja – to have the agility, the elasticity to glide over roof tops, leap stealthily from house to house with the greatest of ease. I suppose it may have to … Continue reading
COVID-19 YOU GOTTA LAUGH
At the time I posted this picture we were about three months into the pandemic. I was in denial, hoping that this was all a figment of my imagination – that I’d wake up and it would be over. For … Continue reading
IN THE WILDERNESS
As we say hello to the last month of this eventful year, all of us are quite eager to get it done with. The year 2020 will long be remembered as one to forget. For the first time in a … Continue reading
HOW OLD AM I AGAIN?
Acting our age isn’t always possible when you enter your golden years. When you think about it, acting our age is really an impossible task at any age. When we’re born we come out kicking and screaming and when we … Continue reading
THANKSGIVING MEMORIES
The day we determine to give thanks for all our blessings has often signaled the beginning of the Christmas season with thoughts of how much money we can save by going shopping the day after we fill our bellies with … Continue reading
