As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DO SOMETHING NICE
It seems there’s a holiday for just about everything. Today is “do something nice day.” We shouldn’t have to set just one day aside for that purpose. It should be part of our commitment as we walk our daily walk … Continue reading
WHERE IS THE HOPE?
I’ve gotten over my anger of yesterday, regarding everything that’s going on in our insane world and yet even with all the turmoil there is peace in the midst of it. I know there’s nothing I can personally do to … Continue reading
HE’S GOT OUR BACK
Prior to December, 2012, there was a scurry to stock up on food, guns and gas masks in preparation for the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar. The day came and went and the world remained. Today, the … Continue reading
PAIN CAN BE GOOD
Anyone who experiences chronic pain will look at my title today and say, “Are you kidding me?” All you want is relief, but pain is usually just a signal that something needs attention. If your muscles are sore, you rest. … Continue reading
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER
Why is it, that in a community of believers, there’s still room for the “put down?” Maybe because we’re human. Maybe because the devil is still allowed to roam the earth and tear away at the souls and hearts of … Continue reading
I WANT IT RIGHT NOW!
We live in a world of instant everything. We can get information just by inputting data into a computer. We are transported to far off places with the flick of a remote. Our diet may consist of fast food, microwave … Continue reading
LESSONS FROM THE PAST
My generation tends to forget that our lives weren’t perfect. I think we paint a picture of perfection like a Norman Rockwell view of American life. We hide the bad stuff and look only at the things that made our age great. I never … Continue reading
SHUT DE DO, KEEP OUT DE DEBIL!
The devil is accustomed to using our shortcomings to weaken our faith. He did it in the Garden of Eden by tempting the first humans into thinking they could become like God by eating the forbidden fruit. He did it in the … Continue reading
ARE OUR CHILDREN BEING BRAINWASHED?
ORIGINALLY POSTED ON ATIMETOSHARE.ME 9/22/15 Growing up in an old German congregation, where fire and brimstone was the fare of the day, it was hard to find a smiling face leaving that church. Conservative Lutherans are often accused of being too … Continue reading
RESPECT FOR THE AGED DAY
I was surprised to discover that this is Respect for the Aged Day. I was not surprised that this special day is celebrated in Japan, where honoring parents and the elderly is still held in high regard. With the dawn … Continue reading

MY HERO
Young girls often have a vision of a knight in shining armor coming to rescue them from the villainy of an evil tyrant and carrying them off to a kingdom that is perfectly free from trouble and sadness. As we … Continue reading
NO SMALL PARTS
“Remember, there are no small parts, only small actors.” Constantin Stanislavsky Where do you fit in to the scheme of things? I always tell my young performers that each of them is an important piece of the story we are … Continue reading
WHAT REALLY MATTERS
Today another of our law enforcement servants will be laid to rest and anger will rage over a disease that’s spreading like wild fire in our nation. While special interest groups, activists and politicians rant over the injustices going on … Continue reading
CONNECTED
The song “People” by Barbra Streisand relates the importance of being connected to others. People who need people, Are the luckiest people in the world We’re children, needing other children And yet letting a grown-up pride Hide all the need … Continue reading
GETTING TO KNOW JESUS
ART WORK BY PAUL BOECHER© John 5:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” I want to know you, Lord. I want to feel your arms around me, comforting, protecting, loving me. I long for your … Continue reading
REST IN HIS ARMS
The easy, peaceful days of summer are coming to close. Soon kids will be back in the classroom rather than complaining about not having anything to do. Within a week, I can guarantee that many of them will be boo-hooing … Continue reading
SUMMER GLORY
ART WORK BY PAUL BOECHER© The edge of a bluff lined river – a glassy reflection glistens and bounces onto a hill. The light touches the edges of trees and buildings in the distance, creating patterns dancing from one place to another . The deep crevices fill … Continue reading

IN CHRIST ALONE
I wonder if we can ever be perfect, just like Jesus was. We say we’re Christians, but still we often stand in judgment of others. I don’t think we’ll ever achieve perfection on this side of eternity. Even though Jesus … Continue reading
