HE’S GOT OUR BACK

thGVJJ5OL8

Prior to December, 2012, there was a scurry to stock up on food, guns and gas masks in preparation for the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar.  The day came and went and the world remained.

Today, the signs are everywhere – in the skies with lunar eclipses and blood moons.  We see it in the way life  has been morally turned upside down – evil running rampant – mistrust of our governing officials – corruption everywhere.  Some fear that many of the world’s super powers concentrated in the Middle East indicates our coming demise.

So what good does it do to store up food and arm ourselves if the end is coming?  The end is the end – right?  Lots of folks think it is – there will be no tomorrow, next year, or even a minute from now.

God reassures those who love and honor Him, that we don’t have to fear the end of time.  He does tell us to be ready though.  A Christian knows that life doesn’t end at death – it’s just the beginning of an eternity in heaven.  God doesn’t want us to worry about the future.  He’s got it all under control and in His hands.

So how do we prepare?  Do we make bomb shelters or stock up on water and food?  Do we cover ourselves with gloom and doom?  Do we give up?  No!  We dig deeply into the food of His Word, the Bible.  We arm ourselves with protection.   We can be confident that there is hope for a perfect future.  It isn’t important when the day of  comes.  What’s important is that we’re prepared.  God has made that possible through His Son.

“Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44).

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
