As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MEAT & POTATOES
After another holiday of stuffing ourselves with all kinds of good things to eat, calories and sweet treats, I can’t help but think about how important our diets are. I’m not talking about the stuff we put into our mouths, … Continue reading

AND SO IT BEGINS …
40 days without nourishment – living in a vast emptiness – alone, weary, hungry, weak, easy prey for the adversary. Jesus was about to begin His ministry as the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by the … Continue reading
THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT
In the early 70’s, Flip Wilson coined the phrase, “The devil made me do it,” and created the character, Geraldine, who often said, “What you see is what you get.” His popularity grew at a time when racism was running rampant, … Continue reading
MY CHURCH FAMILY
In the past week, two of my church family members left this veil of tears to enter the kingdom of heaven. I’ve prayed for another who is going through a divorce from a long time marriage. I’ve felt concern for … Continue reading

SUPER HEROES
I happen to be a fan of the new “Super Girl” series. Maybe because it’s something different than the usual crime and violence we see on the tube and I don’t mean the nightly news. Most of us like the idea of … Continue reading

ALL IN GOD’S TIMING
An empty cradle sat collecting dust in the quiet home of an elderly couple. Carved many years ago, by anxious hands – filled with soft blankets of lambs wool. Time passed and still the cradle remained empty. A sad scenario for many … Continue reading
A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD
The castles of old were built to keep out the enemy. The walls were high and enforced by even higher stone gates surrounding them – a bulwark that never failed. We fight a battle every day against the world, our flesh and … Continue reading

THE WORD HE STILL WILL LET REMAIN
As a historical event, reformation isn’t anything new. Changes occur all the time, but the Lutheran reformation occurred at just the perfect time in history. With the invention of the Gutenberg printing press, mass production of the Bible could be placed in the hands … Continue reading
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER
Why is it, that in a community of believers, there’s still room for the “put down?” Maybe because we’re human. Maybe because the devil is still allowed to roam the earth and tear away at the souls and hearts of … Continue reading
RESPECT FOR THE AGED DAY
I was surprised to discover that this is Respect for the Aged Day. I was not surprised that this special day is celebrated in Japan, where honoring parents and the elderly is still held in high regard. With the dawn … Continue reading

IN CHRIST ALONE
I wonder if we can ever be perfect, just like Jesus was. We say we’re Christians, but still we often stand in judgment of others. I don’t think we’ll ever achieve perfection on this side of eternity. Even though Jesus … Continue reading

MIXED MESSAGES
It seems that every day we’re inundated with mixed messages. Liberals and Conservatives – anti-gays and gay rights – follow the law or do your own thing – pro-life and pro-choice – talk radio and TV shows which have their own agenda (usually … Continue reading
