As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

HE SUFFERED AND WAS BURIED
In remembering my little babe’s hands, I recall ten tiny fingers on smooth dimpled hands. These little fingers would grasp tightly to mine and in an instant he took hold of my heart. Each day, as he grew, those hands became bruised and scuffed as … Continue reading
HE BELONGS TO THE AGES
He knew his time was drawing near. His little band of men and a handful of followers went back to Bethany to spend one more day with his friends. It seemed appropriate. He had spent many happy hours in their home. When … Continue reading
DO NOT BE AFRAID
Out of the depths of my transgression, my heart screams for relief. I grumble – I complain – I even blame God for my shortcomings. How dare I challenge the Creator of heaven and earth? Who do I think I … Continue reading
MISSION TO SAVE
It was the start of a week filled with emotional highs and lows. On Sunday, I watched with the crowds as he entered the city on a donkey and was received with shouts off Hosanna. There were those who had come … Continue reading
PRINCE OF PEACE
It was shortly after Lazarus had been brought back to life. His sister, Mary, lovingly anointed Jesus with oil. The aroma of expensive nard filled the room. I wondered why Mary was bestowing this honor on my boy. The use of such … Continue reading
GOD AND MAN
He spoke about the destruction of the temple and we all thought he was talking about the building in Jerusalem. He talked of things beyond our human comprehension. He quoted scripture as if he had authored the words. His advice … Continue reading
HE WAS CHANGING THE WORLD
The crowds grew day by day. Soon there were so many, he had to go to the top of a mountain to speak to them. They waited eagerly and hung on every word he had to say. Many of those words … Continue reading
MEMORIES REVIEWED
Memories can surface when we least expect them to. Sometimes we tuck them away knowing they have value, but just aren’t sure what that is until we need them the most. My mind was swimming of thoughts of my boy. Those early … Continue reading
WHO KNEW?
I was just a young girl when my life was laid out for me. A husband had been chosen. We would soon be married and I could plan on having a family some day. We would work hard for what … Continue reading
THE HERODS
Our people had become used to foreign rule. It was part of our heritage for as long as I can remember. The Herod family considered themselves to be Jews, but they followed the ways of Rome and embraced their politics and laws. … Continue reading

THE NEXT STEP
All those years watching him grow from a tiny baby to a young man – seeing his character develop and his stature increase – the words I heard before his birth – the way he was during childhood – it was beginning to come together. … Continue reading
THE WEDDING
Weddings are a time of reunion. It was no different in our family. The young couple was all aglow and ready to start a new life. The guests were eager to celebrate with them. Relatives were arriving from everywhere. When … Continue reading
LOVING SAVIOR
I’m going to tell you about love. Not the romantic love this world is so consumed with or the erotic love that humanity seems to thrive on, but true – honest – pure – selfless love. There is someone who … Continue reading
WHAT DO I NOW THAT I’M OLD?
As I grow older, I often find myself feeling worn out. My energy level is waning – I don’t always feel purposeful – at times I feel sorry for myself and wonder what difference it made for me to be … Continue reading
GOD IS NEAR
I need to be wrapped in the protection of God’s holy wings. Each pinion gently lays over me – cuddling and nurturing. The softness and strength are overwhelming. He breathes His presence upon me and gives me life. He speaks and I … Continue reading
MY LIFELINE
There are so many things in God’s Word that make no sense from a human standpoint – a virgin birth – a flood that wiped out the entire earth and its population – God writing His commandments on two tablets … Continue reading
SOAR LIKE EAGLES
The eagle cam has discovered three new eaglets born this week. I can’t help but wonder at the gift of life as it goes on in all the species. These three little puffs of feathers had a a rough start with … Continue reading
