As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FAITH IS BELIEVING THE IMPOSSIBLE
Those of you in my age group probably remember when Saturday Night Live was busy producing new talent on a daily basis. So many of the great comics got their start on that show – Gilda Radner and her plethora … Continue reading
WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN – ALREADY HAS
Nostalgia is defined as a bittersweet reminder of what things were like in the past; what we were way back when; who we spent time with and how much better our lives were. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could … Continue reading
IT’S OUR CHOICE
I woke up with a positive attitude this morning. The sun was streaming through the windows and beckoned me to wake early. I felt reasonably good in spite of a few aches and pains, but I’ve learned to accept the … Continue reading
BIRTH, LIFE, LIVING, DEATH, REBIRTH, ETERNITY
Growing up is one of the hardest things we’re required to do in this life. I should know. I’m still trying to do it. When we’re small children, we’re dependent on our parents to help us dress, tie our shoes, … Continue reading
RETIREMENT FALLACIES
I actually didn’t retire until I was 68 – that is, I didn’t apply for Social Security until that time. I continued to work until I turned 74. We decided it was time to downsize and moved into a house … Continue reading
STAND UP?
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I’ve always thought it would be fun to be a stand up comic. I never followed through with that dream, because of my fear of rejection. It seemed easier to … Continue reading
THE VALUE IN REMEMBERING
As time rages on and the end of lfe draws closer, we often have to rely on our memories to get us through each day. At this point in the journey, it becomes harder to recall some of those most … Continue reading
EMBRACE THE ORDINARY
It’s good for us to embrace the ordinary in our lives. We often think our days are filled with nothing but chaos, but if you look deeply into each moment, you will find joy in even the tiniest of events. … Continue reading
SELF REFLECTION
It isn’t a matter of taking sides in a situation. We must first look at ourselves – our own mistakes and misconceptions – our flaws and voices that speak without thinking first. This week has been one of great ups … Continue reading
DOES NEW LIFE COME FROM A COCOON?
Remember the old movie, “Cocoon?” It’s listed as science fiction because some of the main characters were aliens that had been frozen in time in large cocoons and dropped into the ocean for future observation. Years later the pods are … Continue reading
I SMILE BECAUSE I’M HAPPY!
The photo I’ve chosen today is representaive of what’s going on in my life right now. It shows that joy can’t be hidden, even if the result is difficult for some to look at. You can’t stop joy from overflowing, … Continue reading
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
It’s been less than a week since we ushered in Easter and praised God for conquering death so we would be guaranteed eternal life. How’s that working for you? How soon we forget the glorious message of hope and promise. … Continue reading
APRIL SHOWERS
We’ve had a lovely week of spring weather up here in the frozen tundra of Minnesota. Sunday, being Easter was filled with sunshine and temperatures reaching 80 degrees. The gathering time was spent outdoors for the most part, giving way … Continue reading
TGIMITAW – THANK GOD I MADE IT THROUGH ANOTHER WEEK!
In my younger days the thought of Friday always conjured ideas of having some time for fun, relaxation and spontaneous activity. In other words, I had two days of time when I could sleep late if I wanted to, not … Continue reading
SPRING CLEANING
Actually, I generally fall asleep when I read, so that excuse isn’t going to work anymore. Spring time is a great opportunity to sweep away the cobwebs and sorrows – or is that “Tomorrow?” In any event, spring often conjures … Continue reading
IF YOU DON’T MIND, IT DOESN’T MATTER
Actually the above statement is untrue. I haven’t been to the doctor in over a year. The only medical attention I’ve had recently is getting my COVID19 shot. My doctor, however, is an amazing woman. I miss seeing her, because … Continue reading
ONE OF A KIND
One thing I’ve learned since I semi-retired a few years ago, is that I wasted a whole lot of time worrying about the small stuff. When you’re in the process of beginning adulthood and being responsible for others, you sometimes … Continue reading
THE GOOD OLD DAYS
I have to admit, Paul and I go way back. Maybe not this far, but our time together has been filled with ups and downs and wonderful memories like most marriages that occurred in the fifties and sixties. Marriage is … Continue reading
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN I LOVE
“To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk,” was stated by one of America’s greatest inventors. He was a stately man, who wasn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and dig into solving various kinds of … Continue reading
