About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

BAH, HUMBUG

I can sympathize with this poor cat. Especially this year. We go through all the motions of dressing our houses with lights and decorations. We shop (this year online) until we drop. We plan limited gatherings with no more than … Continue reading

“AND THIS SHALL BE A SIGN UNTO YOU”

This has been quite a year – one most of us would happily like to see drift into oblivion. From the very beginning of 2020 our lives have been changed, turned upside down, depressed, confused, challenged and discouraged. Little lights … Continue reading

A PLACE FOR ME

The bridge looks over a seething scene of poverty and loss, Though filled with much there is no hope for life at any cost, The desperate soul seeks recompense and tries to make amends, But there is nothing good enough … Continue reading

BORN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

When they arrived at the city of Bethlehem, it was time for the baby to be born. Anyone who has given birth knows that a baby usually arrives when it’s ready, not when we are. There wasn’t any place to … Continue reading

INTO THE LIGHT

Through the cobwebs of existence – through the darkness of our strife, Through the dankness of our sinning, through the wickedness of life, Through the eternal pits of hell and the helplessness we feel, A single beam of light from heav’n will … Continue reading

HEY, ANGEL OF THE LORD

If you’ve ever read, “The Best Christmas Pageant, Ever!” by Barbara Robinson, you’ll remember how the nativity was portrayed by the five Herdman children –  the worst kids in town.  The only reason they came to Sunday School was for the … Continue reading

WALKING IN THE LIGHT

The above painting is not one of Paul’s. I found it on the Internet, but it beautifully expresses how Jesus invites us to walk with Him in the light. He is the light of the world. There is no way … Continue reading

SHINING BRIGHT

A light streams through resistant clouds.  It brings a glimpse of heaven. As once in darkness bathed in shrouds, it’s filled with hope once given. The light came forth in darkness, so many years ago. And shone upon the Son of … Continue reading

OUR CHRISTMAS CARD TO YOU

A light dusting of powdered sugar snow glistens in the light coming from an old country church.  The streets are empty now after the hustle and bustle within this tiny town.  On this holy of holiest nights, people find their way into … Continue reading

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Our lives on earth are temporal – a whisper hushed and still, We’re placed here by the Father’s hand and through His mighty will, He guides us through the depths of pain, He takes our hand and leads, He washes all our … Continue reading

OVER THE MEADOW

Over the meadow and through the woods, through wind and sleet and snow, We’d bundle up tight, fill up the car and off to Wisconsin we’d go, The roads were quite slippery, the vision unclear, but still we scurried along, … Continue reading

SPIRITS OF CHRISTMAS – PART III

“The Phantom slowly, gravely, silently, approached. When it came near him, Scrooge bent down upon his knee; for in the very air through which this Spirit moved it seemed to scatter gloom and mystery. It was shrouded in a deep … Continue reading

LITTLE TREASURES

When we moved into our new “old” house four years ago, these little treasures went undiscovered for two Christmases. Paul had meticulously carved chunks of wood into these special Santas and I have enjoyed displaying them over the years. We … Continue reading
