As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MAKE ROOM FOR LAUGHTER
It’s not easy to find humor in the events of today, but I think it’s mandatory. Laughter has always been good medicine. Even the Bible talks about how important it is for us. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is … Continue reading

HEALING IN LAUGHTER
A child’s laughter is one of the sweetest sounds in the world. Laughter from an elderly person with no teeth can be just as gratifying. Laughter can also indicate embarrassment, frustration or even panic. Laughter can trigger all kinds of emotions, but one thing … Continue reading
JEWELS OF DE NIAL MARATHON WEEK
As you know, I’ve spent the entire pandemic in a creative frenzy. My over 55 acting class fizzled out, but something wonderful sprang forth from it. The three women in the front row of these two photos (R to L,) … Continue reading
SMILE OR SING THROUGH YOUR TROUBLES

DAYS OF THE YEAR – APRIL 7, 2021
I love checking out all the weird holiday celebrated each day. Today is not only National Beer Day, Coffee Cake Day and No Housework Day, but it happens to World Health Day, which kind of nullifies the three above celebrations. … Continue reading

SATURDAY CHUCKLES
We all need a good laugh, especially those who have lived a long time and are still pushing on. If we can’t laugh at ourselves and the world around us, we would surely be crushed by all of it.
MAKE ‘EM LAUGH
Ever since watching the movie, “Singing in the Rain,” I have great joy when I can make someone laugh. Maybe I should’ve become a standup comic. Is 78 too old to start a new career? The only problem I can … Continue reading

THE DIFFICULT TIMES IN WHICH WE’RE LIVING – ad nauseam
This is how a typical news report goes these days. It’s also filtrating into commercials and public service announcements. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m getting sick of all the “feel good” stuff floating around in … Continue reading
DOES MY LAUGHTER OFFEND YOU?
“While the laughter of joy is in full harmony with our deeper life, the laughter of amusement should be kept apart from it. The danger is too great of thus learning to look at solemn things in a spirit of … Continue reading
TURN YOUR FROWN UPSIDE DOWN
In hopes of erasing some of the rhetoric and name calling going on over the past few months, I decided to devote this post to humor. The messes we create on a daily basis are often far from humorous, but … Continue reading
