As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ALL THINGS LIVING
When my now 25 year old grandson was about three, he created his first book. He loved listening to his grandpa talk about nature and would often search under rocks to observe the insects. Because he started learning about the … Continue reading
GETTING BY
With every passing day, I feel you close beside me. You watch each step I take, and perfectly you guide me. And when my feet should stray – when things get in my way – You pick me up and … Continue reading
THE GOOD OLD DAYS
I have to admit, Paul and I go way back. Maybe not this far, but our time together has been filled with ups and downs and wonderful memories like most marriages that occurred in the fifties and sixties. Marriage is … Continue reading
HOW MAJESTIC IS HIS NAME . . .
Over the clear, pure waters of a natural spring – His hand is there. Within the pinnacles and crags of each mountain – His gentle whisper is heard. In the quiet of a desert – the turmoil of a sandstorm … Continue reading

THE BREATH OF GOD
The tears of God come rushing down to moisturize the earth,The water fills the hardened ground with life and brings new birth. The seeds that we have planted, lie dormant in the ground,Until His precious water quenches souls without a sound,He … Continue reading
WINTER WONDERLAND
Sparkling facets of frost are scraped from our windshields so we can get a clear view of the road, but do we take time to really inspect the beauty of that frost? The tiny patterns etched into ice by the … Continue reading
ORDER IN CONFUSION
Our world is full of tragic news and difficult decisions. We struggle to find good in all the strife and dark divisions. The devil uses all these things to tug within our reasoning. Manipulating all our thoughts, with his own … Continue reading
TURN AROUND
When I feel alone and troubled, By the cares of this world, by anxious moments and depression, I turn to You. When I think I can no longer endure, The jabs and punches of this life, the blows of daily … Continue reading
FRESH AS A DAISY
The bright and friendly face of a daisy is welcoming and delightful. It’s crisply starched collar of white surrounds its face with freshness. No one is dressed as perfectly as these. These bountiful blooms cheer a garden. They add blessing to … Continue reading
TIME STANDING STILL
Paul is currently teaching a virtual class on painting a still life. By making a grouping of random items, he shows how light bounces from one item to the other and creates shadows while picking up colors from each other. … Continue reading
THE OLD ROUND BARN
Here is another painting which holds many separate stories. Our lives are filled with many pieces, all coming together to create a masterpiece. Within the city limits stands a relic from the past, It used to hold some animals, but … Continue reading
MISTY MEMORIES

DEATH HAS NO HOLD ON ME
I don’t understand why God allows some of us to go on living for so many years while others are taken at an early age. It’s one of those mysteries that don’t make sense to me. I do know that … Continue reading
FORGET ABOUT IT!
Fear is mentioned many times in the Bible. The phrase, “Do not be afraid” was spoken, when God’s angels announced the birth of the Savior to shepherds. The Psalms are loaded with references to fear in King David’s prayers. The … Continue reading
OBSTACLES OVERCOME
As I sit here at my window this morning, a new scene is taking place. Usually I watch the birds at the feeder or the squirrels beneath it. Occasionally there’s a feral cat or two to amuse. Today there is … Continue reading
THE WORLD WITHOUT YOU
What would the world be without you? God had your life planned out before you ever came into existence. His plans are perfect and He wants His purpose to be accomplished. If you never were , You never would have … Continue reading
BAH, HUMBUG
I can sympathize with this poor cat. Especially this year. We go through all the motions of dressing our houses with lights and decorations. We shop (this year online) until we drop. We plan limited gatherings with no more than … Continue reading
LITTLE TREASURES
When we moved into our new “old” house four years ago, these little treasures went undiscovered for two Christmases. Paul had meticulously carved chunks of wood into these special Santas and I have enjoyed displaying them over the years. We … Continue reading
FAMILY TREE
Twisted and battered, weathered and worn, aged through the ravage of time, Broken and tattered, beaten and torn, victim of nature’s own crime, Stands straight and tall, defeated yet strong, its outside is scuffed not dead, Inside alive, though things … Continue reading
