As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THROW BACK THURSDAY – GOD’S IMMENSITY
When my husband worked as a naturalist, he would demonstrate what the world looks like from above. He also highlighted the fact that we don’t often realize that we may be walking over an entire living community without even knowing … Continue reading
EASTER MEMORIES
I recall the times when we would get all dolled up for Easter. Even the term, “dolled up,” is kind of telling. We put on our best. We wore brand, new clothes, shoes, hats, gloves and other adornments to celebrate … Continue reading
GOOD FRIDAY?
I never quite understood the meaning of the words, “Good Friday.” What’s good about it? Today we’ll hear sermons and watch movies depicting the horrendous torture and death of Jesus of Nazareth. We will experience the pain of the lash, … Continue reading

ANOTHER PROPHECY FULFILLED
Thirty-three years before, Jesus was carried in His mother’s womb on a donkey. The donkey is a beast of burden and so this is telling in a way. Our Savior, King would humble Himself by doing this. He would not … Continue reading
KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS
The people crowded across the expanse just surrounding the Mount of Olives. Jesus would give His final instructions to those who claimed to be His followers. The place was covered with thousands of men and even more women and children. … Continue reading
TIME FOR SOME SERIOUS GROVELING
There’s a whole lot of groveling going on in the Old Testament. The Children of Israel continued to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. It’s easy for us to see where they blew it – how they strayed from … Continue reading
FORGIVE US THIS DAY
When bruised and injured we do fall, before our Father’s throneAnd look upon the lamb once slain for all sins to atone,Our pain is nothing next to His, our wounds are all but naught. The blood He shed, His torturous death … Continue reading
ASHES TO ASHES
No one likes to acknowledge that they will die. It’s one of those things we try to keep in the back of our mind until a friend or loved one passes away. It raises its ugly head when you receive … Continue reading
SECRETS
We are all sinners. We live in the shadow of our first parents, Adam and Eve and therefore cannot escape the wages of sin, which is death. I think when we know God provided us with the perfect solution for … Continue reading
FEARS ASSUAGED
Lying prone upon this desperate land, With the weight of sin upon my back, Enormous rocks – the weight I cannot stand, To take away my breath below the stack. Each slab weighs more than the one before it, … Continue reading
WHAT FACE WILL YOU WEAR TODAY?
I must admit – I have a face that can be more like a mask than reality. I have a number of different profile pictures on my facebook page. Many look like a normal, ordinary old lady. Some are filled … Continue reading
THE ARSENAL OF THE OPPRESSOR – BITTERNESS
This week my posts have to do with ways we can find ourselves under the thumb of the evil one – the real oppressor, the devil. Many may conclude that our greatest enemy today is our own government – the … Continue reading
WHAT’S INSIDE?
The Twin Cities of Minnesota was again attacked this weekend with unnecessary crime, killing one and injuring many. The darkness that is beginning to encase our once lovely pair of cities on the river is turning faster than ever. … Continue reading
THE DEVIL’S TOOLBOX
I know that my Redeemer lives and that I will inherit His kingdom some day. I believe that His resurrection from death is in truth what will happen to me when I die, but for some reason, that nasty old … Continue reading
WHEN THE WALLS COME TUMBLING DOWN
With all that’s going on in our world right now, I had hoped to write a post with encouraging words about how God has this all in the palm of His hand and we’re going to get through it. Those … Continue reading
WORKING ON THE RAILROAD
During the pandemic, I became addicted to watching old movies and television series. Most of the western movies tell tales of Americans pushing through the wilderness. Many made way for the coming railroads which would be made possible by cutting … Continue reading
IS YOUR ROAD PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS?
Each day brings good intentions, but it isn’t long before all of our noble hopes take a hit as reality sets in. You stumble out of bed – stub your toe on the night stand – limp to the bathroom … Continue reading
IT IS FINISHED!
The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Luke 23:45-46 At the moment that our Savior spoke His last words … Continue reading
