As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MYSTERY
Many stories and books have been written with mystery being the genre. Most of the time the mystery is solved by the last page or, if you’re very clever, before the story ends. God’s book, the Bible, includes some mysteries … Continue reading
MY SHEPHERD JESUS

SANCTUARY
Where do you go to escape the noisiness of life, the frustrations, the fears and worries? When I was a kid, I always retreated to my closet. It was a dark, quiet place where no one could hear my words of … Continue reading
WORDS OF WISDOM FROM GRANDMA TO GRANDSON
i posted this on May 21, 2014 as my grandson graduated from high school. He has now completed his first year of college and is living in a different state. I thought re-posting it today would honor the new challenges … Continue reading
STEEL MAGNOLIAS
Soon we’ll celebrate Mothers Day and being with my sister for the last couple days has given me evidence of how important my own mom was to us. I can see her in my sister’s beauty, her strong work ethic, … Continue reading

MY AGE WON’T GET ME DOWN
As my old body tells me that it’s time to settle down, I wonder of the time that’s left to me. That even though my zest is gone, my eyes and ears are dim, my aches and pains will never … Continue reading
OPEN THE DOOR
So many times we turn away a stranger. we push them out and never let them in. Yet one so small lay in a lowly manger, so He could touch our stone-like hearts of sin. He came in poverty to wash away our sins. He lived … Continue reading
NO MORE SIN – NO MORE GUILT
Why do we continue to feel guilt, knowing that we have been set free from all sin by the blood of Jesus? Why do we do things that are hurtful to others, even when we don’t realize we are? If … Continue reading
DO OUR PRAYERS MATTER?
I’ll pray for you. We’ll keep you in our prayers. I know God will answer prayer. These are words we use to help others be uplifted, overcome suffering or loss and give them comfort, but do our words make a … Continue reading
OH HOLY SPIRIT – LIGHT DIVINE
There’s much to be said for having enthusiasm and boldness in sharing God’s Word, but sometimes that excitement can be misinterpreted – sometimes we forget who is really responsible for changing hearts and bringing unbelievers to Christ. He gave … Continue reading
HAVE WE SHORTCHANGED OUR YOUNG WOMEN?
When the Feminist Movement got underway in the 60’s, women applauded the rights they demanded. They burned their bras in protest. They shed all evidence of the things they felt were binding them or holding them back. Their cry for equality … Continue reading
POLITICS AS USUAL
We have already been inundated with political ads in my part of the country as I’m sure most of you have. If this is any indicator of what lies ahead, I think we’re in for a long couple of years. As a … Continue reading

SUPER HEROES
The idea of separating the exceptional from the ordinary isn’t new. The Greeks were masters of setting them up on a pedestal. They told stories about their heroes – they performed plays about them – they even worshiped them. Today, society … Continue reading
