As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FRACTURED FRIDAY – DIETING

DIETING WOES
In my lifetime I must have tried at least a couple hundred different kinds of diets. I started to notice that I wasn’t the cute little Shirley Temple look alike I thought I was when I turned nine or ten. … Continue reading
GET RID OF THAT BELLY FAT
OK, so the after the holidays diet started out pretty good. I even lost a couple pounds. Then Sunday came and my church is big on snacks so that got me started again. It began with a small caramel and … Continue reading
IT’S PIE DAY!
This is the perfect time of year for a warm piece of pie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Slowly the ice cream melts and cascades over the crisp crust, enticing every taste bud in your mouth. You … Continue reading
THANKSGIVING, 2018 – #2
Yesterday, marked Thanksgiving number two of my holiday feasts of overindulgence. Our church holds an annual Potluck Thanksgiving dinner, complete with turkey, ham, and all the fabulous side dishes and desserts. I picked the wrong time of year to be on a … Continue reading
FATTY, FATTY, TWO BY FOUR
When I hit puberty, my weight became a problem. I always looked for the easy way out. Anything that would help me lose weight fast. It didn’t matter if I ate the same thing every day – charted my caloric intake – … Continue reading
TALES FROM THE DARK SIDE
If only life were like a box of chocolates, but alas, I’ve been restricted – mostly self-inflicted – to a life of leafy greens, high protein and a lack of sugar. I’m not complaining, it’s just tough for an old … Continue reading
QUIT YOUR BELLY ACHING
Woke up early yesterday morning with a bit of a tummy ache, which turned into a full fledged stomach flu of some sort. Believe me when I tell you, when you reach my age, a hangnail is cause for alarm. … Continue reading
