As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

HE WAS CHANGING THE WORLD
The crowds grew day by day. Soon there were so many, he had to go to the top of a mountain to speak to them. They waited eagerly and hung on every word he had to say. Many of those words … Continue reading
FIFTY SHADES OF DARKNESS
“Fifty Shades of Grey,” opens this weekend and the numbers and reviews will undoubtedly be astounding. We can’t avoid being exposed to this junk, but we should take it as opportunity to teach our children about their value and how they should treat … Continue reading
THE POWER OF GOD
Sometimes we feel so safe and sound in our Christian lives that we forget that we’re fighting a daily battle against the devil and all his sneaky minions. They insidiously maneuver their ways into our minds, picking away at the … Continue reading
THAT AWKWARD AGE
Somewhere between the time we’re born and the time we die, there is the time known as “THE AWKWARD AGE.” Some think it happens when we enter puberty, but I believe we experience it throughout our lives. It has to do with the original … Continue reading
REGRETS
The song, “My Way,” made famous by Frank Sinatra, became a huge success and was a statement of what his life was all about. It started out, “Regrets, I’ve had a few …” OK, a few maybe, but I doubt it. … Continue reading
We are a Christian nation
During the nine months since starting this blog I have found an amazing group of fellow believers in Jesus, Christ our Savior. It warms my heart to know that there are so many Christians out there. Somehow the media has … Continue reading
SURPRISE!
Have you ever been totally surprised by something? You might be delighted, terrified, special, overcome, or even unworthy of such attention. Surprises can be fun when they’re encased in a special box – when they come from far across the country … Continue reading
YOU CAN DO THIS!
Today ten of my students will participate in a forensics meet with teams from other Christian schools in the area. Forensics is just a fancy word for public speaking. This is something I wish would have been available to me … Continue reading
I DON’T WANNA BE A PUPPET! i WANNA BE A REAL PERSON!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King, Jr. Today our children cannot imagine a place where black people weren’t allowed to use the same … Continue reading
LET’S MAKE A DEAL
Burt Reynolds isn’t one of my favorite actors, but I do remember him in a movie called, “The End.” When things started spinning out of control for his character, he began a negotiation with God – promising to give a … Continue reading
THE END OR JUST THE BEGINNING?
OK, it’s over – all the hullabaloo and hip-hip hooray – all the millions of dollars wasted on political advertising – all the hidden agendas, the special interest groups, the futile attempts by those who would change the course of … Continue reading
Guilt
I’m met by guilt on every day. It sweeps my peace of mind away. It starts with little things at dawn – why did I go and sleep so long? My socks don’t match – my hair’s a mess. Did … Continue reading
NO MORE SIN – NO MORE GUILT
Why do we continue to feel guilt, knowing that we have been set free from all sin by the blood of Jesus? Why do we do things that are hurtful to others, even when we don’t realize we are? If … Continue reading
Alpha and Omega
You’re always there to pick me up when others pass me by. You always open up your arms and hear my mournful cry. You watch me as I sleep each night, you guard my very soul. You guard my steps, … Continue reading
Reformed – Changed for the better
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, He knew that many would be gathered there for the Passover celebration. When Esther became queen of Persia the Jews were held in captivity and needed an advocate to gain their freedom. When a group of … Continue reading
LIFE REFLECTIONS
The autumn trees display their final brilliance before they die and leave only a skeletal remembrance of what was. Our days are numbered too. What shall we do in those final days to fulfill our final purpose on this planet? God … Continue reading
BE PATIENT IN SUFFERING
In Romans 12:12 God tells us to be patient in our suffering. This seems like a lot to ask, but when we think of what our Jesus had to go through it really isn’t. Our suffering here is nothing compared … Continue reading
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
You may be a victim of domestic violence. You might hold some deep dark secret that would condemn you if the world knew about it. You may be in the throes of addiction. Why on earth would you thank God? … Continue reading
WHAT’S YOUR LEGACY?
We all have a certain amount of drama in our lives. Many have more than most. Some lead rather normal lives and some never experience anything dramatic at all. When you think about it, everything in our lives has some … Continue reading
Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in your Word
A book rests idly on a table gathering dust. It’s easy to see that it has been ignored for some time. The pages are dog-eared and worn out, but the content hasn’t changed. Notes are scribbled in the margins – … Continue reading
