As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

IF MY PEOPLE HUMBLE THEMSELVES …
We are a nation divided right now and the only way to be unified once more is to pray for God’s intercession. Our governing leaders have been faced with threats of assassination. Bombs in the mail are the new message … Continue reading
ONE ON ONE WITH GOD
I’ve always admired King David and his intimate relationship with God. He messed up, strayed from God’s commandments, yet he was considered the apple of God’s eye. I often wondered at some of his psalms and the angry demands he made … Continue reading
SUNDAY PRAYER
Dearest, Holy, Father, My prayers are often filled with requests for myself or those I love. Today, I wish to ask you to look on my nation with mercy. In our short history, we’ve been faced with countless difficulties and … Continue reading
KNOCK, KNOCK – WHO’S THERE?
Doing door to door sales in the 1980s was always the hardest thing for me to do. I was never sure what I’d find on the other side, but I kept on knocking on doors until I’d miraculously find someone … Continue reading
SEARCHING FOR THE OBVIOUS
Several years ago, when the circus came to town, I was hired as a dialect coach. The fabulous Cirque Du Soleil had come to Minneapolis. You may wonder why they’d need a dialect coach. This circus is known for its … Continue reading
MONDAY PRAYER
Lord, I ask that you become the center of my life. You give me a reason to get up every day. You motivate me in all my comings and goings. You lift and encourage me when I feel I can’t … Continue reading
A LETTER OF HOPE
My Dear Child, I know things look bad. The world doesn’t seem to realize just what a mess its created. There are wars all across the globe. Children are dying and being sold into slavery. People flee from their countries in … Continue reading
JUST ASK HIM …
Last night, as I restlessly made it through the night, my mind slipped in and out of prayer. I’ve been battling a virus that won’t give up and causes coughing streaks that interrupt anything going on around me. I guess … Continue reading
SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE
My husband is truly a prayer warrior and has been a great example for me. He’s always turned to God in thanksgiving, praise and times of pain and need. He’s also the kind of guy who wants everyone else to … Continue reading
HEAR OUR PRAYER
Dear, Heavenly, Father, You have encouraged us to come to you in prayer. No matter what the circumstances, your ears are always open to our words. You are always available to comfort us and give us hope. Even when the … Continue reading
SOLID FOUNDATION
“Storms of every sort, torrents, earthquakes, cataclysms, ‘convulsions of nature,’ etc., however mysterious and lawless at first sight they may seem, are only harmonious notes in the song of creation, varied expressions of God’s love.” John Muir I feel like … Continue reading
I CAN’T HELP BUT WONDER
As I sit here in a sunbathed room, I can see the colors beginning to change. Squirrels have been actively storing up black walnuts from the tree in our front yard. They’re so busy, it makes me wonder if they … Continue reading
BACK TO SCHOOL
School supplies covered the shelves for weeks and trendy new fashions beckon to be purchased. Kids need more expensive tools to go to school. When raising our own children, I never really looked forward school shopping, because of the huge chunk it took from our every day … Continue reading
MY PRAYER WARRIOR
The old, stained, cowboy hat is often seen on this gentle spirit’s head. Like the man wearing it, it’s been through many ups and downs, but he’s always managed to pray in all circumstances. We both know the power of prayer. However, … Continue reading
PRAYING FOR OTHERS
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:5 As our world continues to grow and the sense of community is lost … Continue reading
SILENCE!
“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they … Continue reading
WHERE DO YOU PRAY?
Is it in the quiet, stillness of the morning or when the evening comes? Is it in a closet full of shoes and boxes that words of solace, supplication, praise and thanksgiving spill from your lips? Do you pray when you … Continue reading
NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS
For two weeks, I was rarely exposed to the noise of a TV, the cacophony of rhetoric out of Washington, the negative, the fake. The Senators Foghorn Leghorn, who love the sound of their own voice were a distant memory. The … Continue reading
PRIORITIES
“It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible.” George Washington “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Abraham Lincoln “Hold fast … Continue reading
