As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MY HERO, MY MOM
My mom was my hero. I gave her a run for her money and probably was the cause of her prematurely greying hair, but that didn’t deter her from pushing forward in life. She didn’t hesitate to color those grey tresses well … Continue reading
THROUGH OUR CHILDREN’S EYES
When children are young, they look to their parents as super heroes – men and women of steel – those who can make all their boo-boos better and dry their tears when they are hurting. When they get older, the … Continue reading

MOTHERS WHO INFLUENCED MY LIFE

DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A MOTHER
Every mom has a few funny stories she drags up once in a while to amuse her friends or remind her kids of how much fun it is to parent. Our kids usually aren’t amused at the retelling, but that … Continue reading
MOTHER OF MANY
“He that raises a large family does, indeed, while he lives to observe them, stand a broader mark for sorrow; but then he stands a broader mark for pleasure too.” Benjamin Franklin Well, Benjamin Franklin only had three children that … Continue reading
I WANT MY MOMMIE!
Don’t you just love it when there’s a little voice trailing behind you saying, “Mom – mom, mommie, mother, ma, mom, mom, mom? Little ones are constant sources of questions, needs, demands and wants. “I want a cookie,” “I want a new … Continue reading
ALWAYS A MOTHER
Yesterday, my friend Lynn Abbott at inkandimage sent me a comment that inspired me to write this post today. When we think of mothers, we tend to visualize women with small children – struggling to get through sleepless nights, no time for themselves, laundry … Continue reading
THE INNER WORKINGS OF A MOM
Maybe it’s something to do with my past or my fear of failure that’s driven me to be a worrier. Maybe it’s something common only to women – especially when they become mothers. Maybe it’s a combination of both these … Continue reading
HOW DO YOU STACK UP?
Having just returned from our grandson’s graduation celebration, we were happy to discover he already has a “job.” It’s just a taste of what he will do in his lifetime, but nonetheless he will be learning some great skills and gaining … Continue reading

AM I A SECOND GUESSER?
Yesterday Brandon Adams at https://brandonjadams.com, wrote a great post about mothers that prompted me to respond. My motherhood journey was much like the one he spoke about in “To The Mother Who Second Guesses Herself.” It seems from the day … Continue reading
