As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WHAT’S ON THE OTHER SIDE?
Your hand created all that is, it’s right before our eyes, You breathed the breath of life in us, the earth, the sea and skies, Every tiny cell and atom, lay in your strong control, You crafted each and every … Continue reading
SECRETS
We are all sinners. We live in the shadow of our first parents, Adam and Eve and therefore cannot escape the wages of sin, which is death. I think when we know God provided us with the perfect solution for … Continue reading
JESUS LOVES ME!
On the outside, most of us look pretty normal, but once we get to know each other, the flaws jump out at us like a frog sitting on a hot frying pan. We can make ourselves look good by taking … Continue reading
THERE’S NO PLACE TO HIDE
When life gets tough we sometimes feel we have to run away. We look at things much differently with every passing day. It seems too complicated to stay and go the course. We cave to selfish thinking, we give in … Continue reading
THE END OF THE STORY
“Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It’s the courage to continue that counts.” — Winston Churchill It’s getting to be that time of the year again – time for us to make those New Year’s Resolutions that we’ll most … Continue reading
THE ARSENAL OF THE OPPRESSOR – EGO
In my early childhood, I was the first grandchild, so I had it made – at least I thought I did. I was a sweet little girl, with curls of golden blond. I learned how to tap dance and do … Continue reading
THE ARSENAL OF THE OPPRESSOR – BITTERNESS
This week my posts have to do with ways we can find ourselves under the thumb of the evil one – the real oppressor, the devil. Many may conclude that our greatest enemy today is our own government – the … Continue reading
JEWELS OF DE NIAL MARATHON WEEK
As you know, I’ve spent the entire pandemic in a creative frenzy. My over 55 acting class fizzled out, but something wonderful sprang forth from it. The three women in the front row of these two photos (R to L,) … Continue reading
FRESH AIR?
The image in this post shows the pollution that comes from forest fires, spreading insidiously across the skies and infiltrating the fresh air to the east of it. This is what’s going on in our firmament here in Minnesota and … Continue reading
TIME TO WASH THE WINDOWS
Matthew 7:3-4 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, let me take the speck out of your eye when there is the log in your own eye. This morning, as I look out at another hazy sky, I can’t help but notice the need to get out the vinegar and a micro-fiber cloth to clean … Continue reading
SAIL AWAY
“Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joybefore the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he … Continue reading
DAY BY DAY
Yesterday I visited my doctor for a yearly physical – which has extended into more like a year and a half. With the pandemic, my usual six month checkups had taken a back seat. During that time, all kinds of … Continue reading
FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Mondays are kind of like the recurring Ground Hog Day movie. We go through life, thinking this is as good as it gets – go to bed and repeat the same from day to day. Mondays have a way of … Continue reading
GOD CAN MELT THE EARTH
Psalm 46:6 – “Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; – Bible Gateway. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall, he lifts his voice, the earth melts.“ What a picture! All around us there are wars and rumors of wars. People continue to … Continue reading
WHAT MATTERS IN LIFE?
When you’ve lived as long as I have you soon realize that things don’t last forever. In our many years of married life, we’ve gone through several couches, mattresses, appliances and countless sheets and towels that hung on until they … Continue reading
TELLING THE GOOD GUYS FROM THE BAD
The above is a comprehensive list of characteristics which define the antagonist of a story. I would assume that the good guy would be just the opposite of the bad guy. In the old days it was easy to tell … Continue reading
6-8 INCHES OF NEW FALLEN SNOW – BLEH!
I guess we should have expected it. Last week’s little dusting of snowflakes was just a foreshadowing of what was to come. Yesterday, the white stuff, which we refer to in Minnesota as that horrible four letter word, starting falling … Continue reading
CONTAINED
When we lived in the city, there were countless container cars, sitting idly in the rail yards. In fact, when not in use, they’d be stacked in piles of four or more, to await being pulled into use again. It was kind … Continue reading
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNIN’
I’m a sucker for musical theatre. There’s nothing like someone bursting into song and dance for no particular reason. Music can ease some of the pain we face each day – whether it be physical or mental. Old Testament, David, … Continue reading
I MISS THE HUGS
It used to be that hugs were natural. Now we must be careful not to send the wrong message. Social distancing has made it impossible to show affection, to encourage or show concern with an embrace. We’ should be conscious … Continue reading
