As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

MOVING ON OR LIVING IN THE PAST
I think every generation believes that the “good old days” were the times they were growing up and young adults. George Washington undoubtedly preferred remembering the days when he was cutting down cherry trees more than his time leading a … Continue reading
ARE WE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY?
There is so much confusion in our world right now. Particularly within the walls of our own homes and inside of our minds. We are being bombarded by angry voices – hit from all sides of the political aisles – … Continue reading
CLEANING HOUSE
There’s something about the changing seasons that gets me thinking about deep cleaning the house. In the winter, we accumulate so many dust bunnies and fur balls, the thought of getting rid of that excess usually arrives when the birds … Continue reading
REFIRED NOT RETIRED
This past few days have been a time away from all the madness of the world – a time to refresh, relax and restore some of the zest that’s been missing for quite a while. Our son invited us to … Continue reading
WORK VS ENTITLEMENT VS GOD’S LOVE
A good work ethic means staying late to finish the work someone else didn’t want to do or didn’t feel he had to do. It means giving up lunch to take care of a customer. It means putting in more … Continue reading
GENERATION REDEEMED
It seems every generation has been tagged with some sort of nickname. For example; the roaring 20s, the dirty 30s, the swinging 60s and the disco 70s. Other terms are also associated with each age; such as the Greatest Generation, … Continue reading
DIGGING UP DIRT
When my son was just a young lad, we gave him some Tonka trucks which allowed him to spend hours digging up dirt and moving it from one place to another. Not only did it fill the time, but he … Continue reading
WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND
Times haven’t really changed much in the world’s short existence. Since the fall of man there has been a love of self that far surpasses a love for God. We are a selfish people. Not only that, we don’t like … Continue reading
STOP THE WORLD
I suppose Albert Einstein did a lot of experimentation before discovering his theory of relativity. This brilliant physicist broke ground in areas never before considered. He was the guy with the goofy hair – the typical mad scientist – a … Continue reading
BACK TO SCHOOL
2020 will be remembered as the year of the mask when it comes to going back to school. Those “first day pictures” are already showing up on social media. The typical photo of our child or children in their first … Continue reading
SCHOOL DAZED
It won’t be long and all the kiddos will finally return from spring break. It’s been the longest one in history, but they are so ready to be back. Many schools are opting for the hybrid plan – which allows … Continue reading
OUR REDEMPTION IS FREE
We’ve all been slaves to something or other in this life. The greatest burden we carry is is our long list of wrong doings towards others. There is nothing that strips us of our freedom more than forgetting what the … Continue reading
HERE’S THE CHURCH, HERE’S THE STEEPLE . . . .
Remember this little game we played while trying to be quiet in church as children? The rhyme went like this: Here’s the church and there’s the steeple. Open the door and see all the people. We would clasp our … Continue reading
THOUGHTS ON THE CONGRESS
Today, I’ve decided to print some quotes about the American Congress – that noble group of elected officials who seem to have forgotten who they work for. Not much has changed since the beginning of our independence. “Reader, suppose you … Continue reading
SOCIAL MEDIA FAILS
Forrest Gump’s mama had it right when she said, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.” The Pinterest photo above is evidence of how things usually turn out in real life. The … Continue reading
ONE HUNDRED YEARS LATER . . .
In the nineteen twenties, American women had the right to vote in their first election. They voiced their desire for better education and health care, Sexual freedom was the talk of the day. Gangsters ruled large cities as they trafficked … Continue reading
INDEPENDENCE
We recently went through the tedious process of setting up a new internet and cable network. That in itself was a feat beyond compare for those of us in our 70s. If it has anything to do with technology, us … Continue reading
WE HAVE A CHOICE
We never seem to outgrow fear. It’s an emotion that carries with it the scars of a lifetime. It’s something that grows with the years. Add our prejudices, anger, our negativity and our selfishness to it and we have a … Continue reading
