As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THE OLD HOUSEBOAT
ART WORK BY PAUL BOECHER© The old houseboat still maintained a look of elegance even though paint was chipped and faded – the bough battered slightly from constant pushing against shore, She sat quietly moored under the wispy trees which … Continue reading
AGE = A STATE OF MIND

OLD LADY THOUGHTS
Lately I’ve been feeling I should stop blogging – that maybe I’m just preaching to the choir, even though they need preaching to just as much as anyone. I’ve wondered if ego has sometimes gotten in the way. Do the … Continue reading

WHAT TIME IS IT?
There’s something about losing an hour that completely throws me off. You’d think I’d be happy for the extra few minutes of sunshine and delighted that it will stay dark until 7 AM, but for me, daily savings time is … Continue reading
I LOVE MY DOG GAGE
Our dog is a Llewellyn Setter going on seven years old. It took him more than six years to warm up to us. Perhaps it’s because of his British lineage that he’s a bit on the stuffy side. On the … Continue reading

ARE TIMES REALLY CHANGING?
It would be easy to sit here in my old age and ponder the demise of today’s youth, but I find it really hard to do that. I could expound on the differences of kids in my day and the ones … Continue reading
TURN YOUR FROWN UPSIDE DOWN
The reflection we see in a mirror tells a lot about who we are inside, but often we mask what we really feel or think. As we age, the scars of life wrinkle and tug at the corners of our … Continue reading
