As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ROAD WARRIORS
We arrived safely in Nashville, TN last evening after two days of pretty intensive driving. I guess we now qualify as road warriors. Each day seemed to be filled with clouds, which made it easier to travel, but those clouds … Continue reading
ROAD TRIP!
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty had a great fall, Instead of King’s horses and all of his men, He took a log road trip. He’s not been seen again. Not exactly like the original, but my friend Julie got … Continue reading
DO OVER DAYS
I started last week with great enthusiasm. I got out my garden tools and set about the task of pruning some dead branches. In my enthusiasm, I pulled one back that had no intention of leaving its home, so it … Continue reading

MY MOTHER IN LAW
My mother-in-law was a very classy lady, who dressed perfectly, with hat, gloves and all the proper accessories. She was soft spoken, an excellent partner to her husband, a great cook, a wonderful mom. I wanted to emulate her, because she … Continue reading
LEAP OF FAITH
Who’d think that someone in their seventies would embark on a new challenge? Our current president, for example, has taken a round about turn in his career to see what he can do to make America great again. Michelangelo, the artist, … Continue reading
WATER COLORED MEMORIES
I admit that my memory has faded over the years. However, I feel it’s kind of a defense mechanism. Maybe God has sifted through some of the junky memories that are no longer necessary for me to hang onto. We often … Continue reading
MY PLATE IS FULL

YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE
“If in my youth I had realized that the sustaining splendour of beauty of with which I was in love would one day flood back into my heart, there to ignite a flame that would torture me without end, how … Continue reading
FEARFULLY, WONDERFULLY MADE
This morning was spent in the retina clinic, having tests done and pictures taken of Paul’s eye. I am amazed at the technology available today, which can look inside your eye and get a perfect image of what’s going on … Continue reading
ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF US…
When you reach your seventies, it’s not uncommon to spend time in an ER. A little over a year ago, my husband suffered a small stroke and tried to get help by dialing 911. His speech was impaired and 911 hung up on him three … Continue reading
NEW DAY
When I went to bed last night, I didn’t think about the possibility of not waking up, but when you get to be my age, the odds of that happening become more likely. When we’re children we pray, “Now I … Continue reading
TUNED OUT
It’s been many years since I’ve spent Saturday morning watching cartoons. I’m not sure what I’d encounter today, but I do know that I’ve actually morphed into the Looney Tunes character – Granny. Oh for those carefree Saturdays. In fact, I recall … Continue reading
FUNNY (?) NEWS
From USA Today – Gayle McCormick, a 73-year-old retired prison guard in Washington state who describes herself as a “Democrat leaning toward socialist,” says she decided to end her marriage of 22 years after her husband announced at a lunch … Continue reading
TATTOOS
Just a thought – when getting “inked” do people ever think of how that tat is going to look in 30 or 40 years and their bodies begin to sag. Gives a whole new meaning to aging with grace.
WHAT WILL I BE TODAY?
“You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream,” C.S. Lewis Life carries us through ups and downs and turns us inside out sometimes. We think we have it all figured out and suddenly realize we don’t … Continue reading
OLD BECOMES NEW
