As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

This familiar tag can be found everywhere. My mother did everything by the book and nearly had a heart attack when my husband ripped a tag off of a pillow. She was certain the police would be there in an instant to arrest him … Continue reading
PRAYER FOR HEALING
The ugly “C” word has consumed my circle of friends lately. My husband also has undergone treatment for this degenerating, disheartening malady. I often wonder why God choses some to suffer through these things and others go unscathed. When Job … Continue reading
JOIN THE CIRCUS
When I was a kid, I wanted to run away and join the circus – a place where all things glittered and everything seemed perfect. In the center of all of it was the ringmaster, shouting out the next event. … Continue reading
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY
Dear, Heavenly Father, As time on earth ebbs, it’s easy to fall prey to the devil’s claim that our lives are over, that our lifetime of building has come to an end. As I get older, I often feel those things happening. My … Continue reading
POKIE WHO?
I guess diversion is good once in a while. We all need a little change from the fast pace of life. We often become so involved in the rat race that we forget why we’re in it. We run around like ants … Continue reading
PRAY FOR OTHERS
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” Matthew 6:5 As our world continues to grow and the sense of community is lost … Continue reading
LION OF JUDAH
Originally posted by atimetoshare.me on 7/19/14 Daniel was thrown into a pit filled with lions and was able to survive with the protection of God. David killed a lion with his bare hands to save a lost sheep from destruction. There … Continue reading
SAY PLEASE & THANK YOU
Two of the first words we learn as toddlers are please and thank you – rather than demanding and expecting to get an immediate response. If we look at our relationship to God in this way, things might go a lot … Continue reading
OUR FATHER
I grew up with a father that expected quite a bit from his children. He was stern, insisted on our going to church every Sunday, but led a different life apart from church. He liked to drink – I believe to … Continue reading
I’M SORRY!
Even through our heartache and failures, God peppers our lives with humor and joy. He spices up the mix by providing us with embarrassing situations which bring us off our pedestals. He shows us His love when He gives us … Continue reading
I DIDN’T MEAN TO SAY …
Someone once said, “Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time. You won’t havea leg to stand on.” There have been times when I’ve said something without thinking about the consequences of those words and how … Continue reading
KATHY RANT
There are times when Maxine has wisdom beyond her years. Good heavens, did I really say that? I must be about the same age so I guess I’m allowed to express my opinion occasionally. Lately I’ve found myself sitting down … Continue reading
SO, WHAT’S THE PLAN?
OK, I give up. What’s the plan? It’s so easy to get discouraged when looking at what lies ahead, because of the unknown. If only everything was spelled out in simple language. For centuries people have wanted to know what their … Continue reading
INTO THE LIGHT
ORIGINAL ART BY PAUL T. BOECHER© A world shrouded in darkness, enveloped in an everlasting haze, Closing in with its heavy cape of weight and anxiety, Never ceasing to control us, Holding tightly as we sink further into the bottomless pit, But even in … Continue reading
NO CHURCH SUNDAY
Going to church for me has been a part of Sunday for as long as I can remember. When I don’t go, I feel something is missing. Today is one of those days. I’ve been aggressively attacking my garden and … Continue reading
I KNOW HOW SHE FEELS
Entering one phase of life to another can be daunting. My thirteen year old granddaughter is struggling with this now as she hangs on to her childhood years while wanting to be grown up. Suddenly you’re expected to shed off the … Continue reading
WIN, WIN SITUATION
Everyday, as I read my fellow bloggers’ post, I’m amazed at the positive attitudes of most of them. It makes me wonder if they ever have a bad day – a time when nothing seems to go right or a day … Continue reading
FREE FROM BONDAGE
Up until the middle 1950s, it was customary for prisoners to do things like repair buildings, build roads, or menial tasks like picking up roadside trash. They were chained, so the work was even more difficult than it would normally be. … Continue reading
RANSACK THE SCRIPTURES
I think it’s so cool how different Bible passages can be useful in so many ways, especially when you are going through some kind of trial. Many years ago, when I was feeling useless and even hopeless, a dear friend … Continue reading
BLUE HAIRED WOMAN
There are things that happen when you age that I never expected. Your memory fades. You can leave a room on a mission to do something, but forget it completely when you arrive at your destination. Your body sags in … Continue reading
