As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

LOUISIANA JONES & HIS MUMMY
It’s throw back Thursday, and time to share an oldie but a goodie. Paul was shuffling through some old photographs a couple weeks ago and found this gem. When he owned his ad agency, we’d have an annual Halloween party. … Continue reading
BACK IN THE FRAY
Once more into the fray… Into the last good fight I’ll ever know… Live and die on this day… Live and die on this day… The phrase, “Into the fray,” has meant to me – getting back into the game … Continue reading
RETIRED TIRED
I’m beyond the age of retirement. I tried it once, but the lure of theatre drew me out of it. I am one of those elderly women who drives a car from 2002, with a little over 100,000 miles on … Continue reading
KEEP THE HOME FIRES BURNING
My husband and I are still part of the work force, although we officially retired over ten years ago. Now we have the luxury of living on the entitlements so graciously given us by our government. I’m not being sarcastic … Continue reading
THE “JOYS” OF AGING
As another year and decade passes, each one of us is getting older. There is no escape from this malady, except for death and for many that’s the end of everything. I hope I never lose my zest for living, … Continue reading
MORE GOOD NEWS
Who would think that two little stones in the kidney could cause so much trouble? One Cat Scan revealed the little buggers a few weeks ago. Prior to that I was nursing a knee that had been Cat Scanned also. … Continue reading
ACTING FOR SENIORS
I don’t know these women, but it sure looks like they’re having a good time. I will begin a new adventure today. I’m going to be teaching a group of 55+ some dramatic skills. These theatre games, scene work, improv, … Continue reading
THANK GOD FOR GOOD NEWS!
In this year before the next presidential election, we’ve been bombarded with all kinds of yucky news. I for one am sick of it and have decided to disconnect when it’s time for the news shows. It has become nothing … Continue reading
WHEN IS TOO MUCH, TOO MUCH?
When we lived in the heart of Minneapolis, I had a membership at Costco. I’d drive a long way, spent more than I should’ve on things I normally wouldn’t buy, bought my prescriptions, had photos developed, got ink for my … Continue reading
SUNDAY PRAYER
ART BY KATHY BOECHER Dear, Heavenly Father, You have safely brought me through another week. You’ve walked with me each second of every day, even though I tend to go my own way. You love me with an unconditional love … Continue reading
DIETING WOES
In my lifetime I must have tried at least a couple hundred different kinds of diets. I started to notice that I wasn’t the cute little Shirley Temple look alike I thought I was when I turned nine or ten. … Continue reading
TECH WEEK!
The dreaded moment has come again. A time when my mind gives way to blankness with the addition of things like costumes, lights, complete set and use of props. Add to that the fact that my brain has slowly been … Continue reading
I’M NOT A TREE!
There’s something about a tree. When it grows old it has gained great stature. It has reached towards heaven and branched out in many directions. The circles on your trunk indicate how many years you’ve endured. People on the other … Continue reading
COUNTDOWN TO 77
Every time I go in for my six month physical, I feel like I’m getting an oil change. Each of my levels is checked to make sure they are functioning the way they should. I’m asked the same questions I … Continue reading
AM I LOSING IT?
Have you ever felt like you’re completely losing it? I know part of this has to do with the aging process, but I can recall days in my own childhood when I thought I was going a little crazy. There … Continue reading
BACK IN THE GROOVE
You have all probably seen Paul’s paintings on my blog. Occasionally I’ve posted some of his carving work. After he was diagnosed with cancer (now in remission) and endured a small stroke, he put the chisel and hammer aside for … Continue reading
FEELING CRISPY
There are some days when I feel full of energy and ready to leap tall buildings with a single bound and then I realize that I’m almost 77 and my cape has long since worn out. It’s then that my … Continue reading
SO, THIS IS HAPPENING AGAIN
Last October, I embarked on an old career. I stepped on the stage to perform again. The play was, “Southern Fried Funeral,” in which I portrayed Ozella Meeks, the church lady who tended to all the funeral arrangements. I guess … Continue reading
AGING ENLIGHTENED
The Age of Enlightenment was a time in history between 1700-1800. It was a time when the world was changing drastically. Some considered it a time of enlightenment and philosophy. In our own nation, big changes were occurring. Immigrants in … Continue reading
