As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WRITING FUNNIES
They say some of the best writing comes from personal experience. I guess this would apply.
WRITERS’S FUNNIES
This really isn’t funny, except I often wonder why some novels always seem to start this way? My grandson, now a senior in high school, would often make a contribution to one of my plays in progress and it started with – … Continue reading
WRITER’S FUNNIES
There actually are days like this, when writing causes despair, suffering, anxiety and writer block. It’s days like that when we just have to bring out the rack

TUNED OUT
It’s been many years since I’ve spent Saturday morning watching cartoons. I’m not sure what I’d encounter today, but I do know that I’ve actually morphed into the Looney Tunes character – Granny. Oh for those carefree Saturdays. In fact, I recall … Continue reading
HAPPY HEDGEHOG DAY
“If somebody thinks they’re a hedgehog, presumably you just give ’em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.” Douglas Adams This little hedgehog deserves as many accolades on this Groundhog … Continue reading
ANOTHER FUNNY PARENTING STORY
This is another actual event that occurred when I was doing a “sort of good job” being a parent. Many of the events that happen during this time of life are really hilarious after the fact, but my thoughts of … Continue reading
OLD ROCK DAY
I know, I’m a little weird, but I find it amusing that there are so many wacky things to celebrate throughout the year. Did you know that January 7th is not only Old Rock Day (which I’ll get to later,) … Continue reading
MORE REFORMATION HUMOR
I can’t help myself. I get a kick out of these memes.

GROWING OLDER
ORIGINAL ART BY PAUL T. BOECHER© For the past two years I’ve gradually been losing my hearing. My kids no longer bother to call me on the phone, because I can’t hear them anyway. Texting has become our MO lately. … Continue reading
WACKY HOLIDAYS
Today is the official start of autumn. It also happens to be Elephant Appreciation Day, Hobbit Day and Business Women’s Day. If that’s not enough for you, you might prefer to celebrate White Chocolate Day, Ice Cream Cone Day, Dear … Continue reading
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE
I often wonder if I’d have the courage to make a complete change in the direction of my life. Am I too old to start a new career? For most people in my age range, the thought of such a … Continue reading
EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE DAYS?
Have you ever had one of those days when everything you planned turns out wrong? Maybe you start by getting out of bed and stubbing your toe on the bed, followed by stepping on a Lego on your way to … Continue reading
PUT A PILLOW ON YOUR FRIDGE DAY?
It’s “Funny Friday” again and this day of celebration is a new one for me. Starting somewhere in Europe and migrating to the U.S. in the 1930s or so, this ridiculous observance is supposed to bring good luck to your … Continue reading

A DOG’S LIFE
I really do like our dog, Gage, but lately he’s been a real pain in the neck. In fact you could say he’s walking a very thin line. He’s almost six years old and it’s taken him all this time to … Continue reading
AND THEY’RE OFF!
I don’t think there’s a person in our country that doesn’t know the 2016 presidential race is now officially underway. The first potential female president threw her hat into the ring via a tweet and social media has exploded … Continue reading
