As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

WHAT IS IT ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW?
We seem to be overrun with fake news these days, but it’s really nothing new. Anything that isn’t true is fake news, right? Some might refer to it as stretching the truth with innuendo or rhetoric. Some may perceive it … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY
This is a re-run which has been reblogged once before. I feel it has merit and since it’s throw back Thursday, I’m running it again. Originally written on August 15, 2015. There’s been division of races, ethnicity, social class, political views … Continue reading
POLITICS HAS NO PLACE IN THIS
Here we go again. A series of mass shootings has set the political pundits into action. The call for gun control – attention to mental illness – the evils of video games – has once more come to the headlines, … Continue reading
SHED BLOOD
This past few days have been filled with needless blood shed and death which serves no purpose other than to shock us and continue to numb us. Whatever the source of discontent – if it be mental illness, hatred, brainwashing, … Continue reading
ILLEGAL – WHAT DON’T WE UNDERSTAND?
This is not a rant, even though it may appear so. I have no problem with immigrants coming into our country. My DNA includes German, French, Irish, English and Swedish. All of my ancestors came to the United States in … Continue reading
HOW SHALL WE WASTE A DAY?
I gave up ranting for Lent this year, thus I’ve tried staying away from the news, talk radio and anything that stirs me up. Our country has been on a rant for almost two years now. It’s divided our nation. It’s … Continue reading
THE FLOWERS OF MAY
Today is May Day. My fondest memories of this day are hand making May baskets filled with flowers and treats and placing them at the door of a friend and running away before they opened the door. It also included … Continue reading
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS OURS
Gated communities, walls, barricades, stockades, bulwarks, road blocks – all designed to protect one side from the other. These obstacles are built for the purpose of protection of what lies within. They include precious people, riches and treasures, things not wanted … Continue reading
WE’RE SCREWED!
It seems that the Democrat Party is at it again. During the depression, FDR came up with a New Deal. Today the deal is Green. The Green New Deal, is being promoted by a young congresswoman only a few years … Continue reading
IF IT’S BROKE – FIX IT
I’ve written about our country being broken for the past couple years on Presidents Day. I’ve been witness to breaking up of families through divorce. Through my life, I’ve been broken by loss of a loved one – bad choices … Continue reading
CAN WE ERASE THE PAST?
Note to self: We cannot totally eliminate our past mistakes, simply by deleting them from a social media page. They will come back to haunt us. They may be used against us. They may force us to dwell on them. They … Continue reading
IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR UNITY IN A COUNTRY DIVIDED?
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the … Continue reading
WHERE’S THE HOPE?
I hope the weather will change soon. I hope I can get a job. I hope I don’t have cancer. I hope I can muddle through these last years of life. I hope, I hope, I hope. I go to … Continue reading
IT’S JUST ANOTHER DAY
I woke up this morning, two hours later than usual. My dog is finally getting acclimated to the time change and I praise God for that. I went to bed, wondering about the mid-term election. What would the results be and … Continue reading
WHERE HAVE ALL THE TREATS GONE?
When you only have two children knock on your door for Halloween treats, you’re bound to have leftovers. So here I am, with snacks for 40 kids. As I was thinking about that, while walking through the aisles of Walmart, … Continue reading
UPSIDE DOWN
I’m not one to get on my soap box to spread gloom and doom. I’d much rather talk about the peace we can achieve through reading the scriptures. However, even in the Bible, there are stories of perversion of truth, … Continue reading
SUNDAY PRAYER
Dear, Father, God, I humbly come before your throne with prayers for our nation. There seems to be so much hatred and violence in the hearts of our people. We can place the blame on this and that, but the … Continue reading
INDIGINEOUS PEOPLE DAY
Well, even though I’m a day late and a dollar short, I have a few things to say about what used to be called, “Columbus Day.” The day when we observed the exploration and discovery of a new land which … Continue reading
BROKEN
“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on … Continue reading
SORTING THROUGH THE GARBAGE
There is nothing like scrounging through the trash in search of something you lost. I’ve had that encounter many times. Once I lost a check and assumed I’d tossed it out with the insignificant mail. I had to wade through … Continue reading
