As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

IT’S SO SIMPLE
There is no doubt our world has gone mad. We see one thing after another that shocks, disables and paralyzes us. We could get wrapped up in the negativity. We might go on a rampage and start sputtering words of … Continue reading

HE’S ALWAYS THERE
We go through life with goals that seem insurmountable, only to find we’ve already obtained them. We look at what our friends, neighbors or co-workers have and covetousness might fill our hearts. We sometimes desire that which is way beyond … Continue reading
SPOOKY TIME OF THE YEAR
I just finished stage managing “Sleepy Hollow, the Musical.” The title itself gives way to things that go bump in the night, yet there is the relief of turning this scary tale into a fun filled musical. Halloween happens this … Continue reading
A MAN OF GOD
Originally posted 2/21/17 We all remember the Bible stories about David and his rise to power. As a young teenager, he killed the great giant, Goliath, with a single stone and slingshot. He had many occasions to take the life … Continue reading
THE DEPTH OF SIN
A tangled snare begins quite small, but quickly grows either into a thing of beauty or it takes advantage of other living things to sustain itself. Beneath the surface it worms it’s way through the fertile soil and takes hold … Continue reading

WOULD YOU HIRE HIM?
He wasn’t your usual preacher. This man had taken a vow at the beginning of his life, to serve God. He would separate himself from society – not indulge in things of the world – live alone as a hermit for … Continue reading

Every day we’re confronted with choices. We decide what we’ll wear, whether or not to eat breakfast, should we shovel the driveway before leaving for work or wait until we get home? Those are easy choices, except maybe the one … Continue reading
HOW ARE THOSE RESOLUTIONS WORKING FOR YOU?
Sad, but true, most of us make resolutions to change our lives in some way or another, only to fall victim to the same bad habits within a day or two. In some ways, it’s kind of like our relationship … Continue reading
UPSIDE DOWN
I’m not one to get on my soap box to spread gloom and doom. I’d much rather talk about the peace we can achieve through reading the scriptures. However, even in the Bible, there are stories of perversion of truth, … Continue reading

SORTING THROUGH THE GARBAGE
There is nothing like scrounging through the trash in search of something you lost. I’ve had that encounter many times. Once I lost a check and assumed I’d tossed it out with the insignificant mail. I had to wade through … Continue reading
