As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE DAYS?
Have you ever had one of those days when everything you planned turns out wrong? Maybe you start by getting out of bed and stubbing your toe on the bed, followed by stepping on a Lego on your way to … Continue reading
PUT A PILLOW ON YOUR FRIDGE DAY?
It’s “Funny Friday” again and this day of celebration is a new one for me. Starting somewhere in Europe and migrating to the U.S. in the 1930s or so, this ridiculous observance is supposed to bring good luck to your … Continue reading
A DOG’S LIFE
I really do like our dog, Gage, but lately he’s been a real pain in the neck. In fact you could say he’s walking a very thin line. He’s almost six years old and it’s taken him all this time to … Continue reading
WHAT TIME IS IT?
There’s something about losing an hour that completely throws me off. You’d think I’d be happy for the extra few minutes of sunshine and delighted that it will stay dark until 7 AM, but for me, daily savings time is … Continue reading
FEBRUARY 28
It amazes me that there is a holiday for every day of the year. In fact many days have more than one celebration. Today is February 28. It’s kind of a strange day to begin with, because it’s the only … Continue reading
I LOVE MY DOG GAGE
Our dog is a Llewellyn Setter going on seven years old. It took him more than six years to warm up to us. Perhaps it’s because of his British lineage that he’s a bit on the stuffy side. On the … Continue reading
Fire
Crackling flames spit sparks onto the sides of a fire pit. Golden toasted marshmallows hang tightly to a green branch. The chill of winter invades your joints and consumes your breath. A fleecy blanket caresses your shoulders. You move closer. … Continue reading
FALL BACK
What time will it be when I wake up today? I look at the clock and what does it say? The sky looks no different than yesterday. Confusion reigns in this old brain in me. I wake up at four and … Continue reading
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHARLIE BROWN
It’s Charlie Brown’s 64th birthday today. In 1950 he made his first appearance as a cartoon character. Just think – in another year he can collect Social Security and start living the dream of all the rest of us Baby Boomers. … Continue reading
Funny Friday
This has been a week of disturbing news. It’s time for a little humor. I believe a good belly laugh can do wonders for a sagging spirit. We can’t let all this gloom and doom drag us down. My life … Continue reading
ODE TO TEETH
We come into this world without them. It takes a few years before they appear. They get pushed and nudged out by new ones. A few become unrecognizable and begin to disintegrate into oblivion. As time goes on they disappear into nonexistence. … Continue reading
