As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK

Today has been designated “Superman Day.” I’m not sure why. It’s one of those wacky holidays that really has no purpose other than to give us something to celebrate. Today is also my second grandson’s 20th birthday – a milestone, if … Continue reading
JOB DESCRIPTION – DAD
There are many experts on fatherhood and the best ways to approach the job, but it seems to me that God gives us all the answers we need in His Word. Parenting is mentioned countless times in the Bobe and the requirements are … Continue reading
LOVE UNCONDITIONAL
My dad’s brother could be compared to the prodigal son, which would make my dad, the brother who became jealous when the delinquent son was welcomed with open arms. In my dad’s situation, there was no father to come home to. … Continue reading
WHY PRAISE GOD WHEN THINGS ARE GOING SO BAD?
Volcanoes spew fiery lava, descending on everything in their path. The earth shakes under it. The seas churn as a ship is swallowed up. Children are being murdered before they take their first breath. Youngsters are being sold into sex … Continue reading

LOOK BEYOND THE MASK
Churchill realized that both success and failure are not important. It’s how we deal with those things with courage. So often, we don’t know what’s going on in someone’s mind. I strongly believe part of the problem is the isolation … Continue reading
INTERIOR TURMOIL
Depression and suicide seem to go hand in hand. Sometimes getting to the bottom of a problem requires letting go of it. Sometimes we need to share our thoughts with others. Sometimes we have to look for the signs and … Continue reading

We all experience persecution in some way or another, especially if we’re Christians. We’re often called upon to defend our beliefs to those who haven’t experienced the joy and hope which God’s truth provides. We squirm and take any negative comment to … Continue reading

AM I A DOUBTING THOMAS?
I have a confession to make. There are times when my faith is overtaken by doubt. I know that kind of thinking shouldn’t come out of the mouth of a staunch Christian. The truth is, doubt has been a weakness … Continue reading
