As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

RELIGION IN THE TIME OF JESUS . . .
I went to a Lutheran high school many years ago. One of the subjects was “Classical Culture,” which dealt with religion and culture before and after Christianity. The Greeks and Romans had countless gods and goddesses. It seems as though … Continue reading
OVADYA – A SLAVE . . .
Slavery has been around for centuries. For most, it means putting yourself aside and taking care of others. Some might consider it an occupation, but for most of us, we’ve been purchased like cattle to do the menial tasks that … Continue reading
DAILY LIFE IN JESUS’ TIME . . .
Today, I’m breaking away from my daily narratives of those who may have lived in the time when Jesus lived among them. How they lived, what they believed, how they interacted, what problems did they face – all contribute to … Continue reading
RACHEL, THE WEDDING PLANNER . . .
The young couple had just finished the ritual of marriage. Weddings in Cana were nothing to sneeze at. The party could last for seven days or more, so this could mean considerable expense for the family. It was a social … Continue reading

I was only a young man when the dreaded disease began to take over my body. Prior to that horrible time in my life, I had been strong and healthy. People looked up to me. I was honored by many … Continue reading
A GIRL NAMED HADASSAH
Where I live, women- especially young ones, are treated as inferior. Their main purpose in life is to be enslaved by their male counterparts, produce children and be keepers of the household. It isn’t much different being part of a … Continue reading

DAMIEN – THE BLACKSMITH I’m a Roman citizen. Roman soldiers were a commonplace on our streets. Even those of us who were considered part of the infrastructure of the city, were enslaved in a manner of speaking. The Romans taxed … Continue reading
SECONDHAND WITNESS – CALEB
My home is near the small town of Bethlehem. It is noted for the many sheep that roam across the land in search of greener pastures. The life of a shepherd might be considered by some as one of the … Continue reading

GIVE UP YOUR RICHES . . .
The story of Jesus’ ministry and time on earth is rich in events of everyday living. Some stories are in the Bible, some are made up, but through this series I’m simply trying to imagine what it would be like … Continue reading
