As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

STAGES OF GRIEF
This time of grieving is like none we’ve ever known – unless you were born during the time of the Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918. During that time a world pandemic took the lives of 675,000 Americans and an estimated … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME – EMPTY STREETS
What might happen . . . . Streets normally filled with hustle and bustle were suffocated in a cloud of fog. The air was infused with an eerie silence. There were no vehicles to speak of except for a few … Continue reading
SURVIVOR
I am not a fan of the reality series, “Survivor.” To me a real survivor isn’t self-serving, pompous, physically fit or one who is only in it to win. However this show has grown in popularity and “survived” for the … Continue reading
EASTER LETDOWN
Easter has come and gone and it was the most unusual celebration I’ve experienced in my lifetime. The two of us viewed our church service online. We stayed inside all day, because five or so inches of snow had fallen … Continue reading
AN EASTER LIKE NONE OTHER
I grew up in a time when Easter and Christmas were celebrated with days off of school, Easter bonnets, pretty new clothes, Easter egg hunts, lots of special food and going to church at 6 in the morning. Some of … Continue reading
SOUND OF SILENCE
Jesus lay dead in a secure tomb. A stone was rolled in front of it so that no one would be able to steal the body and claim He had risen from the dead. It was too late to prepare … Continue reading
HOW MANY FEET HAVE YOU WASHED?
Bath time for little ones is a time of great enjoyment, because it means undivided attention from a parent who needs to be on hand to make sure the child is safe. It works that way when an elderly parent … Continue reading
MASKS
Masks can be used to hide our own personality and project an entirely different one. Those are the imaginary masks we use to create a character in acting. Artificial masks can be purchased for just about any occasion. Masks have … Continue reading
ZOOM!
Here’s the story ….. The Brady Bunch aired on TV from 1969 to 1974, just about the same time my children were in their growing up years. The reality TV situation comedies had not yet hit the airwaves. The Brady’s … Continue reading
WHAT TO DO DURING A PANDEMIC
This time of isolation has opened up my kitchen to all sorts of new things – like actual meals made from scratch. I started posting these delicacies on Facebook and my sister tells me I should open a restaurant once … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME – PART TWO
There once was a place that flourished with great bounty. Fields of wheat blew softly in the wind as corn pushed its way through the fertile soil. There were those who lived in poverty, not by choice. The division in … Continue reading
PROGRESSIVE GRANDMA
I never thought it would happen, but it has. Technology has overtaken our lives and I mean that in a good way. Today, children are learning their lessons on specialized classes performed by their teachers from thee “comfort” of their … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME . . .
There once was a land filled with prosperity and bounty – a place where the majority of its inhabitants had forgotten how to love one another – an expanse of human life that was creating a network of relationships from … Continue reading
DO NOT BE AFRAID
Sounds so simple, doesn’t it? “Don’t be afraid,” is a common phrase to use when you’re a parent trying to make life easier for your child – when you want to encourage someone to try harder or follow their dreams … Continue reading
THIRSTING FOR CHURCH
It’s Sunday – a day I would normally be sitting in a church pew alongside my husband, daughter and granddaughter. It’s been a time away from the physical contact we used to enjoy. We’re now confined to our homes. Yes, … Continue reading
FRIDAY PRAYER
Dear, Heavenly Father, I know that you will hear my voice as well as those who are currently suffering with CoVid19 in one way or another. I want to thank you for carrying me through a peaceful night of sleep … Continue reading
WORLD WIDE TIME OUT
So how has your world changed in the past few weeks? Are you enjoying the new horizons within the confines of your home? Is your time filled with surprises? How’s that stress level? Are you enjoying the freedom of not … Continue reading
I DARED TO SHOP
We were down to the last leaf of lettuce, no juice, and getting low on canned goods and meat. The stores in my neck of the woods have been open for seniors from 6-7AM each day, so we ventured out … Continue reading
ARE WE THERE YET?
How many times have we heard that question? Are we there yet? I recall many family vacations in which that phrase wore on my brain. The constant gnawing of, “are we there yet,” was like the swingng pendulum from Edgar … Continue reading
NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION
We’re now in week two of social distancing and already ideas are flying on how to interact with each other. It seems we are at our best when we have nothing to do. So, creative juices are flying. Minds are … Continue reading
