As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

FLAMES OF PROTEST
Burning in the night – a blazing image of protest. Flames lick the sky as people chant and cry. Voices screaming for vengeance – hearts broken. A life lost – another saved – an angry crowd. God tells us that … Continue reading

I’m thankful for my life, though I don’t always say it. It sometimes takes a special day to coax words out and pray it. I thank God for His Only Son, who came to bring me life; I’m grateful for … Continue reading
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
For the past eight months I’ve wakened early to write a new post for my blog. I’m not getting any younger and feel an urgency to express my gratitude to God for what He’s done for me. It took me … Continue reading
CAMELOT
“Unless we change our ways and our direction, our greatness as a nation will soon be a footnote in the history books, a distant memory of an offshore island, lost in the mists of time like Camelot, remembered kindly for … Continue reading
HEAL OUR NATION!
I was only 21 years old – full of hope and promise – planning a wedding – ready to start a new life. It was a wonderful time to be alive. Americans were living in a self-proclaimed “Camelot” with a … Continue reading
WE NEED TO CALL ON THE LORD!
We look at the things occurring in our world today – many times with hopelessness and apathy. We think we are powerless to do anything so we give up. Is this the spirit our nation was founded on? What if … Continue reading
“NO MAN IS A FAILURE IF HE HAS FRIENDS”
Isn’t it great to know that God has sent His own angels to protect us each day? I have spoken about my angels and the shape they must be in by now. I have given all of them a run for … Continue reading
SNOW WHITE
I never thought of white as my favorite color. All shades of blue and green and some shades of red or brilliant yellow are more my choice. White is the color of milk and those fluffy cumulus clouds that float … Continue reading
IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS!
Americans will soon sit down to a sumptuous dinner and feast on foods served only on special occasions. As we fill our tummies with goodies, let’s try to focus on those who don’t have such bounty. Maybe you are faced … Continue reading
Ready
The time is drawing near. Our battle soon is done. Our world no longer here, but with God’s only Son. So let us now prepare for pastures green and calm. Lift up our hearts in cheer and hold us in … Continue reading
GIVE THANKS!
Most Americans celebrate Thanksgiving in eleven days, but we’ll do so today. Being Wisconsin natives, we have done so for the past fifty years. In that state, the week of Thanksgiving is devoted to hunting – not turkeys, but the … Continue reading
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
There are moments when my confidence wanes – when fear gets in the way of the things that need to be said or done – when trepidation steps on my backbone – when My tongue gets tied into knots and words … Continue reading
YOU CAN DO THIS!
Today ten of my students will participate in a forensics meet with teams from other Christian schools in the area. Forensics is just a fancy word for public speaking. This is something I wish would have been available to me … Continue reading
My Worth
I’ll never grow to comprehend the power of your love. You hold me fast. You treasure me. You guide me from above. There is no other love like yours. You fill my every need. You comfort and protect me. For … Continue reading
GOD USES ORDINARY PEOPLE TO ACCOMPLISH THE EXTRAORDINARY
Last night I watched a program on the history channel which appeared to discredit our founding fathers by exposing all the secrets they could possibly dig up. At first I thought I was watching an episode of TMZ, but this was … Continue reading
There is Time
The shadows of time have crept slowly and insidiously into this old vessel. Sometimes in dreams I see mansions filled with treasures and beauty beyond belief – Streets lined with gold and abundance everywhere – no sorrow, no pain, no … Continue reading

GOD BLESS OUR HEROES
“Saving Private Ryan,” dealt with the invasion of Normandy and visually shared the fear and anticipation of war. Young men huddled together, helmeted, bayonets fixed and a look of fear and terror written on their faces – sailing into certain … Continue reading

He set out young and full of hope. His heart was filled with pride. He left the ones who loved him most. Said ,”I love you,” to his bride. He felt the sting of discipline. He ran until he fell. … Continue reading
