ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©
Just when you think the weather is going to turn to spring, things change. Last year at this time, the sweet-smelling lily of the valley and lilacs were beginning to show their faces. This month of March came in like a lamb, with warm temperatures to melt the remnants of a fairly uneventful winter. Today, we await a huge weather alert that promises to drop another 12″ of white stuff. Mankind has still not found a way to control the weather. They can predict and forecast what is to come, but the results remain in God’s hands. Just like the weather, we can’t control the change in climate, the results of sin or the promise of another day. God is in charge of everything – even the number of hairs on our heads. We look to the sky for signs of end times, but no one except our Father, God knows when that will happen. The truth of His faithfulness is in this. No matter how we continue to try and run things, only God knows for sure what lays ahead. Trust in Him. He will lead with the assurance that our future is with Him, so be still. Enjoy the changes in the weather. Take comfort in knowing that your sins are forgiven. Eternal life in paradise awaits.
This place that we hold so dear, this lonely, withered space,
Has faltered with winter snows and cannot rise again,
When we lose that inner life, that comes from heaven’s place,
Our lives will be diminished and scorned as dead terrain,
Within the ashen colors, inside the lifeless trees,
The damage has been ripened, there is no longer gain,
The raging winds of winter, change to a gentle breeze,
Though life has been drained from it, the fight will not be lost,
The battles will still remain, but victory has a cost,
The precious blood of Jesus has paid for every sin,
Clothed us with the will to live and new life to begin.
Our loss in life becomes gain, when to the end we come,
When we decrease we increase, God’s plan than will be done.
THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR
ANOTHER DAY!
