QUIET CITY STREETS

The once quiet, peaceful city took on the ugliness of a terrorist attack,

Smoke filled the air, clothing torn from bodies, blood flowing, buildings crushed like a house of cards and a little child’s cry in the distance.

We are the infidels – they are the enemy.

Bow your heads  for the victims of this latest incident.

There will be more.

Ask God to watch over the quiet peace of your inner world – the one free from worry.

Ask Him to keep us safe from this insidious threat.

Ask Him for peace.

Ask Him for forgiveness.

Ask Him for His eternal love.

Ask Him to come quickly,

for He is our only hope.

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

  1. I live a few miles from a USAF bombing range, where they train newbie bomber pilots. It looks as though a giant bull’s eye target is painted on the ground, on Google Earth’s satellite view. When the bombs are falling, it sounds like distant thunder. Sometimes the ground shakes

A few miles further away is a special ops military base. The machinery of war is all around us.

I understand the necessity of a strong military defense. But I don’t understand the evil that makes the defense necessary. We all will die eventually. Why does anyone think it’s a good idea to hasten anyone’s death? Especially a peaceful street full of strangers, filled with children, with babies, young mothers, young men, and old grandparents. How can such evil exist? I do not understand.

I don’t understand any of it either. It’s beyond my comprehension that such evil exists. It is obvious that satan is working overtime to crush us and our beliefs, but God has dominion over him. He was crushed when Jesus conquered sin and death. All we can do,is pray for his intercession and a complete return to Him and His word. It’s good to blow off steam about this stuff once in a while. You can’t keep it bottled up.

  2. Such evil mindedness is beyond comprehension. No God craves violence and the death of people, but only the Devil.
