Some folks think that becoming a Christian means gaining complete freedom from all our troubles. Not true! In fact, God never promised any of us a rose garden. Well, He gave us a perfect garden, but that was quickly lost when man thought He was smarter than God.
We are going to have difficulty in our lives until we pass into eternity. However, our troubles here on earth don’t have to overwhelm us and send us into a deep depression. Some “Christians” believe that if you have trouble in your life it is because of something you’ve done to put yourself out of favor with God.
God’s mercy is beyond our wisdom. He has placed these trials in our lives to make us stronger and yet completely dependent on Him for help.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
Thank you, Lord, for daily strengthening me with your truth. May your gift of peace give me hope to endure each day.
As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension.
I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog.
I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ.
My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

Hi I’ve nominated you for WordPress Very Inspiring Blogger Award. You may already been through this, it’s all new to me. If you’re not interested in participating – that’s fine but perhaps you’ll get a few extra well-deserved readers just from the nomination as I posted your URL on my WordPress site. Go here for an explanation.
I always enjoy your blog. Lydia
omg, Lydia. What an honor. I am really new to this blogging thing myself. I think e both started at the same time. I will take a look at the instructions later today and see if I can live up to your expectations. I really enjoy reading your blog. You have an amazing outlook on life.
OK I read the instructions, but I guess I’m an old dog and don’t know about new tricks so I ask for your help. Do I repost your blog? I know I need to write something about myself, but I’m not sure about the rest. Awards aren’t important to me except the sweetness with which they are given, so maybe I should just pass on this one. Thanks!
You can copy and past the instructions off my post, then when you write your post you link to me alotfromlydia. I copied the photo of the award and added it to my post. This is a time consuming endeavor! I’m not sure if I did it right either, but it took 2 days of my writing time, so I gave up and posted it.
I think I will just treasure your nomination in my heart.
Hi this is a heads up for you. I was nominated for 2 awards, and I’m passing them both on to you. I’m just going to copy and paste all my work from the first one. I’ll post this tonight or tomorrow, 😬
