As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

OVERWHELMED
Everywhere you go, whether it be a church, a family gathering, an election booth a grocery store, it seems a huge black cloud is hanging over us. The every day events of living have lost their joy. Faces are hidden … Continue reading
FAKING IT
The word hypocrisy is defined as the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense. Being an actor and one who teaches acting, I guess I could be labeled a hypocrite. … Continue reading
ARE WE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY?
There is so much confusion in our world right now. Particularly within the walls of our own homes and inside of our minds. We are being bombarded by angry voices – hit from all sides of the political aisles – … Continue reading
ARE YOU ACTIVE OR PASSIVE?
Passivity is a term best described as being a couch potato. The Oxford Dictionary describes it as, “acceptance of what happens, without active response or resistance.” Lately I’ve found myself going to the couch more often than I’ve ever done. … Continue reading
DIGGING UP DIRT
When my son was just a young lad, we gave him some Tonka trucks which allowed him to spend hours digging up dirt and moving it from one place to another. Not only did it fill the time, but he … Continue reading
I WALK IN DANGER ALL THE WAY
We’re surrounded on all sides by danger. It seems to be our constant companion these days. If we go beyond our homes and venture into the unknown, if we take a step out of our comfort zone, if we let … Continue reading
THOUGHTS ON THE CONGRESS
Today, I’ve decided to print some quotes about the American Congress – that noble group of elected officials who seem to have forgotten who they work for. Not much has changed since the beginning of our independence. “Reader, suppose you … Continue reading
WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE
The familiar phrase, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to decieve,” is often attributed to William Shakespeare. The author and composer of so many flowery words, with a beautifully rhythmic pace, in fact did not … Continue reading
HISTORY REPEATING/LEARNING FROM THE PAST
On this day, November 6, 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected president by a landslide, electoral vote. He was not the popular vote winner. He went on to lead our country at a time when living was slower, easier and we … Continue reading
JUST ANOTHER DAY IN MINNEAPOLIS
President Trump is entering enemy territory this evening. Two of these big Trump balloons are at the ready and will appear outside the place he takes the podium. Several protestors from various factions will be on hand. There are those … Continue reading
WHAT LIES BELOW
During the last presidential election, we were promised by then candidate, Donald Trump, that he would drain the swamp of corruption which has invaded our land. That sounded like a great idea to most of us every day citizens who … Continue reading
IN GOD ALONE
We, the people, have been bombarded with an urgent desire to depose a sitting president. This has been going on for the entire presidency of Donald Trump. I have stated on my blog recently, that I’m trying to avoid the … Continue reading
POLITICS HAS NO PLACE IN THIS
Here we go again. A series of mass shootings has set the political pundits into action. The call for gun control – attention to mental illness – the evils of video games – has once more come to the headlines, … Continue reading
ILLEGAL – WHAT DON’T WE UNDERSTAND?
This is not a rant, even though it may appear so. I have no problem with immigrants coming into our country. My DNA includes German, French, Irish, English and Swedish. All of my ancestors came to the United States in … Continue reading
WORD FOR TODAY
People often ask me how I come up with things to write about each day. For the most part, there is no rhyme nor reason to it. I write things about Christianity, aging, living in troubled times, going through difficulties … Continue reading
HOW SHALL WE WASTE A DAY?
I gave up ranting for Lent this year, thus I’ve tried staying away from the news, talk radio and anything that stirs me up. Our country has been on a rant for almost two years now. It’s divided our nation. It’s … Continue reading
WE’RE SCREWED!
It seems that the Democrat Party is at it again. During the depression, FDR came up with a New Deal. Today the deal is Green. The Green New Deal, is being promoted by a young congresswoman only a few years … Continue reading
WHERE’S THE HOPE?
I hope the weather will change soon. I hope I can get a job. I hope I don’t have cancer. I hope I can muddle through these last years of life. I hope, I hope, I hope. I go to … Continue reading

“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on … Continue reading
