As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

SINGING & DANCING IN THE RAIN
For some reason, I’ve become kind of hung up on old barns and beautiful autumn color lately. Maybe it’s because of our special drives this year. Maybe it’s because the character that abounds in those rugged buildings that have seen … Continue reading

When I was a kid I loved this saying – “The less you know, the more you study – the more you study, the more you know – the more you know, the more you forget- the more you forget, the less you know – … Continue reading
THROW BACK THURSDAY
Almost six years ago, we were in the throes of looking for a new house. Time was running out and we felt like we’d never find our next dwelling place. Memories of another time, when our world caved in. It … Continue reading
WEDNESDAY WISDOM
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could simply run away? It seemed to be the answer when I was five years old and again when I was six, seven and eight. The thought occurred to me when I was in … Continue reading
STOP THE WORLD
I suppose Albert Einstein did a lot of experimentation before discovering his theory of relativity. This brilliant physicist broke ground in areas never before considered. He was the guy with the goofy hair – the typical mad scientist – a … Continue reading
CHANGE
This word, “change.” is being bantered around a lot these days. We hear about climate change, changing our passwords and profile pictures. We’re told to change our bad habits. We must change the way we live to thwart off a … Continue reading
EERY MORNING RANDOM THOUGHTS
This image reflects what I’m seeing from my window this morning. It’s already 8 AM and a thick haze of fog envelopes my view. The wind is slightly tickling the branches on the trees so you might think it was … Continue reading
POLITICS HAS NO PLACE IN THIS
Here we go again. A series of mass shootings has set the political pundits into action. The call for gun control – attention to mental illness – the evils of video games – has once more come to the headlines, … Continue reading
WHY PRAISE GOD WHEN THINGS ARE GOING SO BAD?
Volcanoes spew fiery lava, descending on everything in their path. The earth shakes under it. The seas churn as a ship is swallowed up. Children are being murdered before they take their first breath. Youngsters are being sold into sex … Continue reading
SOLID FOUNDATION
“Storms of every sort, torrents, earthquakes, cataclysms, ‘convulsions of nature,’ etc., however mysterious and lawless at first sight they may seem, are only harmonious notes in the song of creation, varied expressions of God’s love.” John Muir I feel like … Continue reading
TRAIL OF TEARS
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson In our travels this week, I’ve been able to release some of the sadness from behind. I have found my … Continue reading
MOVE FORWARD
This quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. exemplifies the true American spirit. This man, life cut short by an assassin’s bullet, made it his goal in life to move his race forward – but his goals are applicable for … Continue reading
NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US!
I came across this passage today and it made me think of how this life is so uncertain. We can share relationships and friendships – hardships and loss – joys and successes, but all those things are really only temporary. Someday … Continue reading
