As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

DEATH HAS LOST ITS STING
Within our most desperate hours, when shadows fill the air, When life is strangled from our souls, when nothing thrives in there, We may see Satan’s work at hand, destruction and dispair, But God provides the answers now, with just … Continue reading
LOVE MEANS HAVING TO SAY YOUR SORRY
Throughout Old Testament history we hear about ashes being used as a sign of total repentance to God. In Job 42:3–6, Job says to God: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye … Continue reading

SHROVE TUESDAY, FAT TUESDAY OR PANCAKE TUESDAY

THE WINTER OF OUR DISCONTENT
Shakespeare said it first. Steinbeck followed with a book with the title. I kind of like the quote above, because it describes me. When I’ve gone through a time of trial, the best thing for me is to forget about … Continue reading

BEHIND THE DOOR
His life was a mess. He was tattered and torn; still he slowly approached the door, He had lost every hope. He was broken and worn. Yet he felt there had to be more, With all of his might, with … Continue reading
ALL SAINTS DAY & REFORMATION
In the time of the Renaissance, the Catholic Church observed November 1 as a day to honor the saints of the church, along with those who had died and hopefully pressed on to heaven. In case you had any doubt that … Continue reading
TREASURE OR TREASURED
In my lifetime I have experienced living with little, living modestly, living with means and living with little once again. When you have money, it doesn’t mean you are happier or are twice blessed. It simply means you have more … Continue reading
GENERATION REDEEMED
It seems every generation has been tagged with some sort of nickname. For example; the roaring 20s, the dirty 30s, the swinging 60s and the disco 70s. Other terms are also associated with each age; such as the Greatest Generation, … Continue reading
I WISH I HADEN’T SAID THAT
Words spill out of my mouth thoughtlessly, Unyielding my tongue pushes them into the world. Where did those words come from? My mind does not take the time to realize The way they could be interpreted, The way they could hurt, … Continue reading
HOW HAS LIFE TURNED OUT FOR YOU?
There was a day when I wondered what my lot in life would be. I’ve often dreamed dreams which could be interpreted as bizarre, frightening and downright dark. There have been other dreams too. The ones that show a world … Continue reading
PETER’S MOTHER-IN-LAW

OUTSIDE THE BOX JESUS
It was the hottest point of the day, when the Samaritan woman came to draw water from Jacob’s well. Most likely she was trying to avoid the other woman who came to gather water in the coolness of morning. Those … Continue reading
ASH WEDNESDAY
In Luke 22, where I left off on my Advent study, we find the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. It begins with the preparation for the Passover meal, continues as Judas betrays the Son of God, Peter … Continue reading

HE’S ALWAYS THERE
