As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

I MISS THE HUGS
It used to be that hugs were natural. Now we must be careful not to send the wrong message. Social distancing has made it impossible to show affection, to encourage or show concern with an embrace. We’ should be conscious … Continue reading
THOUGHTS ON THE CONGRESS
Today, I’ve decided to print some quotes about the American Congress – that noble group of elected officials who seem to have forgotten who they work for. Not much has changed since the beginning of our independence. “Reader, suppose you … Continue reading
IT’S SO SIMPLE
There is no doubt our world has gone mad. We see one thing after another that shocks, disables and paralyzes us. We could get wrapped up in the negativity. We might go on a rampage and start sputtering words of … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME
This post was written shortly after Memorial Day, 2020, beginning the summer of our discontent. The climate was right. Summer heat had overtaken the city. It was a holiday – a day of remembrance for those who had died defending … Continue reading
GOD BLESS AMERICA
Freedom is a word being catapulted about like a ball of fire lately. This being a day celebrating our independence from England will lack fireworks, but the celebration of our nation will not die. For almost 250 years, this fledgling … Continue reading
ONCE UPON A TIME – UPRISING
The climate was right. Summer heat had overtaken the city. It was a holiday – a day of remembrance for those who had died defending their fellow man. In one part of the city, a white man, hired to serve … Continue reading
SATURDAY SOUND OFF
Saturday seems as good a day as any to rant. I try not to do so, but it’s trending today, so I thought I’d get on the bandwagon. What stage of grief are we in now? What’s happening in our … Continue reading
NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION
We’re now in week two of social distancing and already ideas are flying on how to interact with each other. It seems we are at our best when we have nothing to do. So, creative juices are flying. Minds are … Continue reading
PLEASE, DON’T STEAL MY JOY!
Every mother who sees her first born child experiences a myriad of emotions. For most of us the word “joy” comes to mind. She counts fingers and toes, holds the baby close to her breast and experiences the ecstasy of … Continue reading
WHERE IS LOVE?
As most of you know, I have always loved musical theatre. Telling a story through music is much like the operas of old, but a dramatic telling of a favorite tale always seems to bring them to life for me. … Continue reading
SHED BLOOD
This past few days have been filled with needless blood shed and death which serves no purpose other than to shock us and continue to numb us. Whatever the source of discontent – if it be mental illness, hatred, brainwashing, … Continue reading
STRANGE BEDFELLOWS
In Shakespeare’s play, “The Tempest,” the term “Strange bedfellows,” was coined in reference to a drunken jester, named Trinculo. He was been shipwrecked on Prospero’s magic island. He seeks shelter from the storm and comes upon the petrified body of Caliban. … Continue reading
INDIGINEOUS PEOPLE DAY
Well, even though I’m a day late and a dollar short, I have a few things to say about what used to be called, “Columbus Day.” The day when we observed the exploration and discovery of a new land which … Continue reading
A CITY IN ASHES
Our granddaughter was not yet born. The grandsons were little boys, now young men, unaware of the tragedy that struck. I remember pouring a cup of coffee and preparing to sit down and watch the news when it happened. In the … Continue reading
FRENZY IN THE CITY STREETS
The big parade on the fourth of July always included children. There were those who watched on the lawn chair laden sidewalks, or on the broad shoulders of someone taller. There were those who spent time decorated their bikes, tricycles, … Continue reading
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK
“Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.” Plato I may regret writing this post. I may say something that will be misinterpreted or come off as holier than thou. I may appear pompous … Continue reading
