As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

HOW HAS LIFE TURNED OUT FOR YOU?
There was a day when I wondered what my lot in life would be. I’ve often dreamed dreams which could be interpreted as bizarre, frightening and downright dark. There have been other dreams too. The ones that show a world … Continue reading
TURN IT OVER
There’s no doubt about it. We live in a crummy world. We can choose to make a difference, to change things, to sit around and fret about it, to hide ourselves from it or we can rid ourselves of the … Continue reading
DON’T MESS WITH MR. IN BETWEEN
It was 1945. I was only three years old and didn’t know much about war. I didn’t understand hate. I didn’t know what it was all about, but I did love the music of that time period. My parents both … Continue reading
ONE DAY AT A TIME
“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength.” Corrie Ten Boom As each day passes, I have come to realize that every one of them is a blessing from above. Not because tomorrow will … Continue reading
WHAT’S OLD IS NEW AGAIN
The tales told in the past repeat themselves on a daily basis. The classic story of Romeo & Juliet has been retold in different ways, genres and locations. What is it about these plot lines that draw us in? The … Continue reading
PAINTING IDOLS
ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER This morning, John, the eclectic contrarian, spoke about television as being an idol in today’s society. It made me think of the ancients and their idols. I’m posting a few of the … Continue reading
THE WORLD IN DARKNESS LAY
Can you imagine a world in complete darkness? It may seem that the haze covering our earth and intermingling with our thoughts, fears and dreams has shrouded our thinking and even our way of life. When God plagued Egypt in … Continue reading
INHERITED STRENGTH
As I look back on my life I can see the influence of several strong women. My mother was a rock. She married the love of her life at the age of 18 and two years later I was born. … Continue reading
THE AGONY OF DE FEET!
I remember it well. I was nearing twenty. The twist was the dance of the day. A new band from across the pond was making its way to the US. I fell somewhere between Elvis and the Beatles and never lowered myself to swooning … Continue reading
THE GREAT I AM
ART & INSPIRATION FROM PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© A few years ago, my husband Paul, was commissioned to paint a mural in the commons area of our church’s Christian Day School. The mural was the center piece of several … Continue reading
PEACE IN THE STORMS
Up in the land of 10,000 lakes today, the skies are filling with an abundance of different kinds of clouds. It’s always quite interesting to see a storm come together, starting with layers of many clouds in shades of grey. … Continue reading
AM I LOSING IT?
Have you ever felt like you’re completely losing it? I know part of this has to do with the aging process, but I can recall days in my own childhood when I thought I was going a little crazy. There … Continue reading
BACK IN THE GROOVE
You have all probably seen Paul’s paintings on my blog. Occasionally I’ve posted some of his carving work. After he was diagnosed with cancer (now in remission) and endured a small stroke, he put the chisel and hammer aside for … Continue reading
WHEN SKIES ARE CLOUDY & GREY
“Storms of every sort, torrents, earthquakes, cataclysms, ‘convulsions of nature,’ etc., however mysterious and lawless at first sight they may seem, are only harmonious notes in the song of creation, varied expressions of God’s love.” John Muir We’ve had a … Continue reading
WHAT WAS YOUR WEEK LIKE?
Most everywhere you go these days, there are those with crabby faces who seem to bring everyone down with them. There are times when it’s almost better to stay home in isolation. However, I enjoy being with other people. I don’t … Continue reading
PUT ALLELUIA AWAY FOR A WHILE
Last Sunday, during the children’s message, our pastor invited them to each take a piece of paper upon which was written the word ‘ALLELUIA.” They were instructed to hold on to them until the end of the service when they … Continue reading
SILENT FRIDAY
ART & INSPIRATION FROM PAUL & KATHY BOECHER© We all seek a place where we can run and hide from the pressures of daily living, but there is nothing hidden from the One who created us. When we come to … Continue reading
EACH ONE UNIQUE
This year all the snow we generally receive over the course of winter, has dropped more than sufficiently in just one month – which has just begin. Winter in Minnesota lasts for about six months, so we need to find … Continue reading
TIME FOR A BATH
Bath time for little ones is a time of great enjoyment, because it means undivided attention from a parent who needs to be on hand to make sure the child is safe. It works that way when an elderly parent … Continue reading
HEART REPLACEMENT
“I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will … Continue reading
