Today would have been our 62 anniversary. Quite the milestone. The team of Paul & Kathy Boecher began much earlier than that. We met as Freshmen in high school back in 1957. We were the best of friends. We found out in our Senior year, that our friendship was more than that. We went steady. We dated for many years after. When we finally married in 1962 we truly had become inseparable. God had a wonderful plan for our lives, filled with ups and downs that usually accompany a marriage. We pledged our love and maintained it for a lifetime. When Paul was called to his eternal home, there was a relief on my part. He’d suffered for many years with an assortment of health issues. You’d never know it though. He always appeared to be in good health and never failed to share his love for our Savior, Jesus. He was able to hold his first great grandson. I remember him looking at this new life and telling him how much he was loved, not just by him, but by God. I was so blessed to have this amazing human in my life. I know where he is now and that gives me complete comfort. There is no fear in death when you’re connected to God. We have the best life insurance policy available through His unconditional love and salvation. In Christ alone.

A peaceful mist hangs over the stillness of a chilly mountain lake,

Covered as with fairy dust, the beclouded vapor permeates,

The cool blue water reflects an autumn morning,

Light skips across the trees and causes them to dance in the breeze,

Soon all that will remain are the shadows of winter,

Snow will fill the valleys,

Ice will hang in branches where leaves once lived,

The scent of pine fills the air,

Wildlife will search for food,

Those with full bellies will hibernate,

Others will die,

Such is the circle of life,

Eternal peace is guaranteed for those who believe in God.

THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR GIVING ME THE PERFECT SOUL MATE. MY MEMORIES OF HIM WILL REMAIN UNTIL WE’RE REUNITED AGAIN IN HEAVEN.
