ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©
Summer seems so far away especially when a blanket of white covers the grass, the trees and the roads. It’s a good time to bring up a summer painting. Memories of a sunny day, with boats in the harbor is welcome as we face bone chilling temperatures this week, This is also the week of Paul’s birthday. He would have been 83 tomorrow. What a blessing to spend this special day in heaven. It’s also Valentine’s Day week. The love of my life will always remain in my heart.
Like ships in the night, we pass through this life,
We’re tossed and oft crushed by the waves,
We sometimes sail peacefully then there comes strife,
It seems not a single one saves.
We enter a harbor protected and safe,
It cradles and calms all our fears,
A sweet sanctuary, a place to call home,
Unbound by sheer terror or tears,
Still waters there greet us, He’s waiting to meet us,
The Savior and King of the world,
No more shall we struggle our path is made clear,
His cloak of salvation unfurled.

The omnipresence of the Lord is uncomprehensible by intellect alone. Faith and a survey of His already fulfilled promises seal the gap.
