Memories are like a flash drive. We store them in our brains for future reference. We tuck them into another place so we can forget about them temporarily. We might not like the memory we’ve created so we can delete it if necessary. Life is made of memories, past, present and future. Yet even the greatest computer cannot capture the actual memory. Those things are reserved for our hearts, rather than being placed in a photo – stored on a stick – saved in a scrapbook. The real treasured memories cannot be replicated, but we can try.
We create new memories the minute we wake up in the morning. Thanking Jesus for another day – another opportunity – another challenge and maybe another crisis. Through all those times we are learning something that God wants to teach us. We can discard those lessons or put them to use. Since this is the beginning of another week, we can enjoy the beauty of His creation – which is currently at its peak here in Minnesota. The skies are a bright, cloudless blue. Yesterday as I drove to church, I saw the intersection of two jet streams in that heavenly mass. The sign of the cross immediately came to mind. I drove a little further and saw three lovely Trumpeter Swans coming in for a landing on a local lake. They were in the shape of a triangle – a three-point landing, I guess. My mind reveled in the glory of it and I was reminded of the Holy Trinity. God sends those little messages to remind us of His presence.
Every day is set before us as another chance to praise Him, to thank Him and to worship Him. He hears all of our prayers and answers each one on His timeline and for our good. As I go through this lovely season of Autumn, I see trees screaming with color and leaves dancing across the countryside in a symphony of God’s making. It’s the perfect time of year to have a conversation with Him. Get out an enjoy the miracles that He places before us in so many ways.
THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR ANOTHER DAY

Lovely post! ♥
