Our thoughts are unclear and our minds are tossed,
To find our true worth we must search without,
To God, our dear Father, we plead and shout,
Our voices He hears and answers in time,
He lifts us up with His power divine,
When you change your focus and don’t give up,
The Shepherd of heaven will fill your cup.
God promises to be with us in all seasons of our lives. He gives us purpose and unconditional love. We can”t hide from Him, even if we try. He will seek us out and find us. To me, that is the comfort of the ages.
As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension.
I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog.
I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ.
My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.
Kathy, your words always touch my heart ❤️. It’s such a gift. I’m so thankful God is ALWAYS near. I don’t know where I’d be today with that promise. Would you please let Paul know how much I enjoyed his painting? It reminds me of a place where I hike. One part of the trail leads to the huge grotto. When it rains hard, the water falls over this huge bluff. Imagine standing inside of it as the water is falling. His painting reminds me of my whole area and North AR. Love you sweet lady. Today my parents came and we ate lunch and went to a resale shop together. It was such a blessing. 💛❤️🥰
Sounds like a perfect day for all of you. With all the rivers in minnesota, we also have our share of bluffs. This painting was done when Paul could still hike.

I'm a retiree in his seventies. That may not be significant to many, since there is a bunch of us Baby Boomers around. However, in the year 2,000, when I received a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma, I expected to be dead in three to five years.
Yes, Lord, fill my cup. I am thirsty for more of you.
