Dear, Lord of Life,

I come today to ask your intervention in the lives of those who are in the midst of pain – of hopelessness – of fear of what lies ahead – and to those whom we can only offer prayers.

God of all creation, you knew us before we were born.  You crafted each intricate body part while we were in the womb.  You knew what we would do in life – our successes and our failures.  You have always seen to our needs and we know that you have planned a great future for us in eternity.

Because of your omnipotence, your omnipresence, your omniscience you have our destiny in your hands.  We may not know what lies ahead, but we can be sure of what you have promised us.  Sickness, depression, fear, sadness, all cause us to turn inward and sometimes even feel sorry for ourselves.  Let us never forget that you are at the very core of our existence and because of who you are, we need not give in to worry.

For those experiencing health issues, we pray for healing and restoration, but also we pray for those who care for them – the medical team, the family and the friends who love them.  Wrap your comforting wings around them and clothe them in confidence.  In all things, we know that you are always in control.

In Jesus name, I humbly ask this for those in need of comfort today.
