As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

ALONE, TIRED, THIRSTY & HUNGRY …
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.” Matthew 4:1-2 He was at the gateway of His ministry. Now thirty years … Continue reading
I’M SO SORRY!
For I eat ashes like bread and mingle tears with my drink, because of your indignation and anger; for you have taken me up and thrown me down. My days are like an evening shadow; I wither away like grass. PSALM … Continue reading
PRINCE OF DARKNESS
The story of the Passion of Christ wouldn’t be complete without the antagonist – that ever present cad who was on the scene at the beginning of the creation of the world – the one who attempted to take away God’s … Continue reading
IMPOSSIBLE? NOT WITH GOD!
Do you ever have days that you wish could just forget happened? Does your life look like it’s headed for the darkest, smelliest sewer? Has your faith suffered because of it? When things seem their worst, that’s the time to … Continue reading
A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY
The sun was at its peak in the middle of the day. Radiance danced across the lake as the young Rabbi spoke from a small boat. His voice filled the entire expanse. It was a voice of authority – a strong, … Continue reading
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?
“Anyone can get angry, but to do this to the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive, and in the right way, that is not for everyone, nor is it easy.” ― Aristotle … Continue reading
A NOT SO GREAT SHOWMAN
Having come from a long line of sociopaths, Herod Antipas relished in the shock and awe of his domain. The more outlandish the behavior, the better. Like his father, Herod, the Great, he was much a chip off the old … Continue reading
CLEAN, LIVING WATER
It was the hottest point of the day, when the woman came to draw water from Jacob’s well. Most likely she was trying to avoid the others who came in the coolness of morning. Those women had no use for her. … Continue reading
DROWNING IN TRADITION
At the time of Jesus’ unjust arrest, Annas was no longer the acting high priest of Judaea. He had originally been appointed by Quirinius for the position, when the Romans took over rule of the Jews. He served for ten years, … Continue reading
THE SCOURGE
ORIGINALLY POSTED ON MARCH 12, 2016 – REPOSTED TODAY TO REMIND US OF WHAT OUR SAVIOR SUFFERED FOR US. 39 lashes was the limit. More than that would have undoubtedly caused death. The object of lashing was to inflict severe … Continue reading
I WOULD NEVER DENY HIM
The dark shadows of night filled the courtyard. Many were gathered in the stillness. Word was out that Jesus had been arrested and was standing trial before the high priest. Those who remained, couldn’t help wondering how this could be. Only … Continue reading
TOUCHED BY THE SON OF GOD
A little over a year ago, a friend of ours passed away. We got a chance to get reacquainted for a short time before he died. We had known this man from the first church we attended when we moved … Continue reading
BURDENS CARRIED
Jesus’ beaten and wounded body was exhausted from continuous beatings. His flesh was a mass of blood and torn flesh, along with the spit spewing from His accusers mouths. His trek along the via dolorosa included carrying the instrument of … Continue reading
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIME?
When I was a young child, I remember seeing this picture and wondering about this young man, Jesus. He was only a child, but had so much wisdom and knowledge to share with the elders of the church and the … Continue reading
GOD WINS!
The Bible has lots of references to lions. Daniel was thrown into a pit filled with them and was able to survive with the protection of God. David killed one with his bare hands to save a lost sheep from … Continue reading
EARS OPENED
There were those who left their jobs and families behind to follow Him. They gave up everything to be a part of it. Some of them became His inner circle of workers and would someday continue to share the words He … Continue reading
GIVING UP OR GIVING THANKS
The practice of giving something up for Lent is one of those practices that may seem outdated, but not if it’s done with the right attitude. If we do it as a way of gaining our own salvation it’s wrong, but if done as a reminder … Continue reading
CHARACTERS OF THE PASSION – JOHN
John and his brother, James were disciples of John, the Baptist. They were fishermen, like many of the other apostles and the sons of Zebedee and Salome. They made their living fishing on the sea of Galilee as did their father, … Continue reading
