METAMORPHOUS . . .

ORIGINAL ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©

It’s the end of summer and school days have already resumed for some. Many memories have been made as we look back at family vacations, graduations, weddings, picnics, camping and good times. When we recently traveled to S. Carolina to visit my Amy and her husband for a week, we had the pleasure of taking a ride to one of the mountains. As we drove through the lush, green landscape, we came upon a continuous sight of what appeared to be humongous cocoons. In Minnesota, our cocoons are much smaller and certainly not as visible. In doing some quick research, we discovered that these were protective silk cases spun by moths. They’re a sort of communal sack filled with lots of moth larvae. It got me to thinking what it might look like when all those caterpillars emerge from the safety net as moths. Can you imagine it? A whole slew of moths coming to life all at once. The sacks were actually quite creepy looking, but what was to come would be amazing.

We’re about to transfer into a new season filled with amazing colors and changes within nature. As we enter each season of life, there will also be many alterations to our bodies and mind. The natural process of life is that we are born, we live and then we die. The true process includes a rebirth – a resurrection that will carry us to paradise. Enjoy each season to the max. God assures of us greater things to come.

Trees turn into blazing colors; leaves weave tightly on the ground.
Tapestry of gold and crimson, clearing way for sight and sound,
Soon the barren trees stand empty, lifeless, worn and spent of life,
Skeletal they stand before us, facing winter’s call through strife,

Branches reach to touch the heavens, empty now yet full of hope,
They’ll return in springtime glory, with persistence in their scope,
Life is merely a transition, it returns to life again,
When we trust the Great Physician, broken hearts and souls will mend.

THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR ANOTHER SEASON!

About atimetoshare.me

As I reach the end of my years, I find I have a lot of good information stored up in this old decrepit mind of mine. If I don't write it all down, it may vanish and no one will have the advantage of my thoughts. This is why this blog exists. I love the Lord, Jesus with all my heart and soul. I know I'm undeserving of all He's done for me, but I also know that His love is beyond my comprehension. I've always wanted to write. I never kept diaries, but tucked my thoughts in my head for future reference. I use them now in creating stories, plays, poetry and my blog. I continue to learn every day. I believe the compilation of our time spent with God will have huge affect on the way we live. I know I'm a sinner and I need a Savior. I have One through Jesus, Christ. My book, "Stages - a memoir," is about the seven stages of life from the perspective of a woman. It addresses all the things girls and women go through in life as they travel it with Jesus, and it is available on Amazon.com.

  1. The cocoon looks like a monster or something. Kinda creepy. Or lovely, from a moth’s perspective!
