ORIGINAL ART & POETRY BY PAUL & KATHY BOECHER©
Finally, a day without hazy skies and extreme temperatures. The first day I’ve actually been able to retrieve a few weeds. It’s funny how quickly our bodies wither away as each day passes, yet God still gives us a new day to try again. OK, so I spent about 20 minutes outside, but it’s a lot better than nothing. My Saturday words of wisdom are, “Getting out of bed and making it to the bathroom in time is your first win of the day. Don’t let your body rule your mind. God still has plans for you, even if you’re over 80.”
As we walk this world of living, the paths wind through different ways,
They can take us to a landscape, glowing with a magic, morning haze,
They can point to things eternal as we walk where none have trod,
But the beauty found in nature, is a view sent to us from God,
We can also find a measure, of some pure and simple splendor,
When our eyes behold a building, which resembles a bent fender,
There is greatness in the broken, you just have to look real deep,
A heart, a life, a memory, a promise you can’t ever keep,
The things we can’t control or fix, the words we think or often say,
The sins that we cannot forgive, by God are cleansed and washed away,
He makes the broken new again, He washes all the dirt and grime.
We are made new through His pure love, so we may see His face sublime.
THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR A LOVELY DAY!
